Lucas and Irisa fabulous characters, and more complex than I can begin to describe. Tempt Me has wonderful character development. This book had everything you need to create a good romance: a dashing hero, a beautiful heroine, a person who always seems to interfere with the hero and heroine, and, most of all...PASSION!Tempt Me is wonderfully written with just the right emotional touches. Lucy Monroe's knowledge of the period paints such vivid pictures that her readers feel they're a part of the action, and the underlying sexual tension will leave you squirming in your chair.Lucy Monroe's delivers a sensuous, humorous, adventurous plot.Engaging characters, attention to historical detail, and humorous dialogue will kept me reading long into the night. The interaction between the leads was great. There is enough conflict to make the story line interesting and not so much that your left wondering why they ever got together. BUY THIS BOOK!

I loved Touch Me. Tempt Me is even better. I can't wait until book 3 Take Me comes out.

Lady Irisa Langley is the illegitimate daughter of an Earl and his wife. But, this illegitimate birth is a secret from the Ton and those who pursue her as a wife. She has managed to blackmail her parents with this fact so that she can choose who she wants to be married to. Using this information she has turned down a number of suitors. When she is drawn to "the Saint" Lord Lucas Ashton she hopes she has finally found the man to share her life with and will not hold her past against her. When her father tells Lucas about her heritage (or so she thinks) and he still wants to marry her she is ecstatic. Unfortunately someone immediately tries to not only keep them apart but also tried to blackmail Irisa into not marrying Lucas. Lucas won't stand for it and decided the wedding is on, especially once Irisa tried to back out to save his reputation. Suddenly strange things seem to be happening to Irisa, she is locked out in a storm and she gets more threatening notes. But, Lucas is determined that they will face the blackmailer together and this means married.

I liked that Lucas stuck by her and didn't turn into a jerk as some authors have a tendency to do with this type of storyline. Though I do think in reality Irisa would have been a little less whiny but, it is fiction after all. I look forward to the next installment in this series.

Lady Irisa Langley wants control over her life. In a moment of daring she tells her parents she will choose the man she will marry and if they give her any grief she will tell society the truth about her birth. She knows her parents will do all they can to keep the secret that would ruin them. After years of looking for the man she could possibly love she finds him. He is Lord Lucas Ashton "The Saint" so named because he doesn't share in the vice of society. He is cautious and before she can marry him she feels she will have to be honest about her life...birth. What will happen if she tells the saint the truth?

Lucas wants to live a life without regret or scandal. When he finally decides that Irisa is the woman he wants to marry he has no idea how difficult it's going to be to get the lady to the alter. No matter what he isn't going to let this sensual lass get away from him. But, will he be able to keep her safe? Getting to the alter has never been so much work.

Ms. Monroe's latest effort is entertaining but the reader should be forewarned that Irisa is a strong lead with a lot of modern ideas. The use of misunderstanding is the vehicle of choice here to keep our lovers apart. Lucas is a well crafted hero...and one the readers will be rooting for.
