5.0 out of 5 stars This book makes The Boys to Men transition, December 22, 2007

Wow, I never thought I would ever read a book that would cover such a topic in a non-threatning way. i think this is one that young boys should read and I would love to get feedback on how it helps girls. Back in the day, you found adult magazines under the bed. Today, with the Internet you never know unless your monitoring them.

One thing a parent can do to curb Internet surfing is to keep the computer out of the bedroom.

The book carefully, yet directly covers what parents know could be going on but are afraid or uncertain in how to bring it up. I actually asked my 19 year old to read it and he did. Getting No complaint from him is amazing. He did not say it was "dumb" or "retarded" and that tells me that it struck a cord and he liked it.

Dianelle has just made a parents life a bit easier. I look forward to seeing more from her as there are endless topics for her to write on.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for parents with younger children!, December 12, 2007
This review is from: Temptation of a Generation (Paperback)
After having the fortune of learning about this book through a friend and picking up a copy, I would highly recommend this to any parent of a child 7 - 8 years and up. Temptation of a Generation is a great resource for helping parents broach the very difficult subject of internet porn with their children. The book is written in a cleverly worded rhyming style and beautifully illustrated. The topics that are discussed and morals that are taught are incredibly pertinent today and yet very rarely discussed by parents with their children. Temptation of a Generation is a wonderful tool that will facilitate parents and children to openly discuss a dangerous and somewhat taboo subject in an open and friendly atmosphere.

What a wonderful way to educate and empower children about the dangers that lurk online! It is an excellent tool for improving your tweens awareness of the potential dangers on the internet, as well as an excellent resource to help rebuild self-esteem in those who have been affected by internet pornography addiction. It's practical and provides information to better equip children to make smarter choices when faced with uncomfortable situations online, giving kids the confidence they need to be able to rely on themselves when "tempted!"

5.0 out of 5 stars It's About Time Someone Wrote About This Issue!, December 3, 2007

A "MUST READ" to every child from age 7 and up who uses the internet!! This is some of the most important information about todays "temptations" that you can read to your child as we continue to advance into a technology laden era. What a great way to communicate and educate to the youth of today! My two young children loved the drawings and the well thought out characters as they learned how not to be tempted by the rampant pornography plaguing the internet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Today's Awareness!, December 25, 2007
This review is from: Temptation of a Generation (Paperback)
What a great tool to educate and explain the temptations of our
complex world. The computer/internet have introduced such vast unknowns
and intrigue. I applaud Danielle for touching upon such a
sensitive subject that is so relative to today... she is fulfilling a need to reach out to today's generation now instead of later.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Answer to Temptation!!!, December 16, 2007
This review is from: Temptation of a Generation (Paperback)
Thank you, thank you, thank you for addressing this problem. We never thought about how easy it is a for a child to be exposed to pornography at a very early age until we came across this book. In this day and age, this problem is part of our lives whether we choose to believe it or not. Unfortunately, it will grow into a bigger and bigger problem every day. But hopefully with this book, parents will realize the dangers and learn how to deal with it. Thank you for making it easy to address this topic with our children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Temptation is a Sensation, December 10, 2007
This review is from: Temptation of a Generation (Paperback)
Reading this book, really gives an insight to what children are up against when it comes to technology. I believe it eases into the subject matter, making it easier for parents to discuss and identify with an issue that can be uncomfortable for a parent. The creators, sponsors, and artists I believe accomplished what this book was meant to represent. Education on subject matter is often times difficult, and after reading this book, I believe the message is clear and educational.

Speaking to both older and younger generations, {with an emphasis on the younger} "Temptation of a Generation" WILL definitely become a powerful tool in educating adults and children alike on the traps and addictions of the internet revolution.

I strongly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars New Challenges for New Parents, December 3, 2007
By
This review is from: Temptation of a Generation (Paperback)
As new parents, we are faced with different challenges than our own parents faced. Danielle's new book taught us about a new and unexpected hurdle we'll encounter in the coming years. The book addresses a difficult subject in an accessible way with style and grace. It will definitely help other parents talk to their children about this new facet of safety, and will help curious children ask their parents for guidance.

A sensitive subject communicated so all ages are comfortable in being made aware of the "temptations" out there on the internet whether you are looking for them or not. Great tool for parents to use in educating their children about this new danger!

Wow, what an amazing tool to use to further communicate such a growing problem in our society today. This is an area most parents don't want to think about and the book provides parents with a platform to discuss this openly and honestly with their kids. Thank you for providing us with a chance to help protect our kids in a healthy honest way.
