Brandi is a curvy girl with talent for accessories. Adam has baking expertise and so much more. Brandi's mom and sister are very vocal about Brandi's weight and life. Adam from the time that he meets Brandi loves her body, brains, and talent. He supports her like he has known her forever. Adam's has regret for not being with his father as much socially instead of just work events. Adam values his family but also wants to do something for himself. Brandi is his sous chef and taste-tester. This book give you chocolate, love, faith, drama and life lessons. It was a quick read with deceitful people and dreams still coming true. I need a story about Adam's brother and more people in the story. I do not want to give the book away so buy it and read.

Whenever I pick up one of Phyllis Bourne's books, I know and I'm going to laugh, smile, and feel all warm and fuzzy by the time I get to the HEA.

Brandi, a burgeoning entrepreneur, is down on her luck in life and love. Her teaching job is in jeopardy, her fiance left her at the altar, and don't even get me started on her overbearing/judgmental/hypercritical mother. She's on a mission to shed a few pounds and gain some much needed self-respect in time to face her ex and fit into a bridesmaid dress for her sister's wedding. So when handsome hunk and wanna-be-pastry chef Adam moves in next door and starts filling the air with the tempting aroma of chocolate, sparks fly - first the angry kind, then the oh-my-how-can-I-resist-this-taste-of-temptation kind. Brandi is a believable character you can really relate to, and it was wonderful to watch her grow comfortable in her own skin and gain the confidence to pursue her dreams thanks to Adam's encouragement. Adam, who has his own family issues, is a wonderful character with depth and tenderness to go along with some rockin' abs.

And a hot man who cooks AND wants a gal to taste-test his delicious creations? Sign me up!

This romance was fresh, sweet, and all kinds of fun!

Definitely recommend :)

This was the first story I read by this author and I loved it. I couldn't put it down! Read it in one sitting (in between dinner and taking care of kids of course). I love stories that involve cooking! It has such a sensual touch! And these two characters were absolute delectable!
Can't wait to read more from this author!

Taste for Temptation was very sweet.. It was nice to read about Adam and Brandi. I like the Ellison guys as they feel like a close knit family. The premise for the story was somewhat predictable, yet this did not detract from the story. Brandi was dumped at the alter by her fiancé for another woman he married in Vegas. And then a few months later Brandi's sister was getting married and the ex was part of the wedding party along with Brandi. Brandi was dieting, and boot camp exercising to loose the extra weight she gained after being left in shame at the alter. Her next door neighbor had just left his high profile job to bake pastries. Brandi though she was craving chocolate so much that she was dreaming about it. That is, until she discovered that her fine neighbor was the culprit.. One thing led to another and the neighbors become lovers and the rest they say is history..

This is the first book I have read from this author so I was on the fence about purchasing it. I am so glad I did. This was an excellent story that mixed two of my favorite things. A good love story and lots and lots of chocolate!! If you love a sexy Chocolate man and lots of chocolate goodies all rolled into one, you will absolutely love this book. I look forward to reading more of this authors work.

I loved this book. Tall, Dark Chocolate cooking chocolate. I'm sorry that Brandi went through her trials and tribulations with her mother, but she got the best deal in the end. Adam definitely got the better deal by breaking it off with Jade. I cant wait for Kyle's story, even though its going to take a lot for him to give up his gigolo ways.

I am a true die hard romance fan and was looking for a story that was cute, about food and not rushed and one I didn't want to put down. I found this story and was not disappointed. I'm not a chocolate fan but this at all but goodness, I was picturing how the cakes would taste. I'm a few years late but thank you for a good read. Looking forward to the next story.

This book was enjoyable and sweet. I had read the second book first (Sweeter Temptation), which was the story about Kyle Ellison, and I had picked up this book to delve into his brother, Adam. The story was well done, and got me hungry with all the food references.

The story follows Brandi Collins, a high school teacher whose secret passion is starting her own custom-made purse business, and Adam Ellison, a business entrepreneur whose secret passion is becoming a world-famous pastry chef. Both of them come from similar pressuring family backgrounds, but despite it all, their relationship continues to grow strong. Adam helps Brandi aspire to her dream by helping her submit a proposal to a well known fashion designer, while Brandi helps Adam with judging his latest pastry recipes in preparation for an international pastry competition in Paris, France.

This was a great story featuring believable people in a believable world where people are struggling through economic times. The story leaves behind a message of believing in yourself and your dreams no matter what the nay-sayers say.

The only gripe I had about the story was that I felt the ending was resolved way too fast -- within a page, the loose ends were dealt with and there was an HEA. Brandi sounded too quick to suddenly give in after what happened a previous page before. Everything seemed to happen so quickly, like the story was being rushed to completion.

Overall, I enjoyed the story and will keep an eye out for more books by this author.
