My deepest thanks to TempTooth!
C. Wiley
Also, he uses a weak tea when he forms the tooth so it will be a better match for his own tooth color.
Very very easy to follow instructions!!

Ok, my husbands tooth fell out a week ago. He's an acupuncturist and sees patients daily, and since it just HAD to be one of the front teeth, getting a tooth replacement was needed now! As we know, it costs around $1000 to get an implant or bridge done and we needed some time to get that together. I was actually Googling dental insurance plans when I came upon TempTooth. Emailed the link to the hubs; we discussed and eventually decided it was the way to go until we could get his tooth replaced next month.

Here's the truth about TempTooth: can you make a tooth in about 15 minutes? Absolutely! Will it LOOK like the actual tooth that needs replacement? Only if you have realistic expectations and want to put a little more effort into the process than the instructions say.

The pluses about TempTooth is that you CAN have a temporary tooth until you able to afford the implant/bridge. For a medium-sized front tooth, it took about 12 of the beads. You want to start with less beads and possible add more if necessary because we found that once it hardens under the cold water process, it expands and becomes a little bigger and you can't fit it in. Start with 10-12 beads and add some if necessary. It's easy, just warm them along with the tooth you are forming; remold it again

Once they are transparent, they are very easy to shape into a tooth. If it's still not right, stick it back into the very warm water and wait till the edges become transparent and work on the shape a bit more. You are looking for a good fit and a tooth that looks as close as possible to the one that you lost.

Here comes the "work" part. You must be willing to follow through to have as close to a realistic tooth as possible.

This product absolutely works. Hands down...exactly what I needed. For insurance purposes I need to wait till January to get a tooth I broke fixed. The tooth is in the back so it's not really visible but I'm still really self conscious about it. I was going to meet this guy out of state and wanted to look my absolute best and not take any chances that the broken tooth would show. I reluctantly ordered this product HOPING and PRAYING it would actually work--AND IT DID!!!

First, I don't know why the other reviewers on here made the instructions so difficult to understand. I can literally make a tooth in under a minute. All you need to do is put the pellets in boiling water until they become clear. Put the pelllets in a ladel so they don't get lost in the water. They'll clump together. Once they're clear, dump the clump out onto a plate. Roll it into a ball like a small piece of dough. Then stick it where ever u need the tooth and use your fingers and tounge to shape it and smooth it down on the back. The tooth will "grow" so make sure it's relatively small. Bite down to ensure the tooth molds to the proper alignment with your other teeth.

Congrats you've fixed your tooth.

As far as taking it out, molding it, shaping it and doing all that other bs described by other reviewers, I just allow the tooth to harden in place. Taking it out repeatedly was impossible for me. It kept loosing shape and doing it that way made my first tooth look pathetic. Wayyyy too difficult. Just let it form in place. That will ensure it doesn't come loose. I'll leave it in a few days and when it becomes discolored I remove the tooth using pliers. It sounds more dangerous than it is.

After losing my dental partial I've had for several years, I was devastated to look in the mirror at this hole in my mouth! While at the dentist getting fit for my new partial I asked is there any means of filling in this hole until my partial comes in? Of course they said no, there is nothing available but to try wax. Well after reading the reviews about temptooth and knowing I had nothing to lose, I ordered it. I must admit I was skeptical and scared to try but when that first tooth attempt was a success I was overjoyed. It snapped right in and stayed secure, I couldn't believe it! That's when the next tooth was fun and got creative on shaping it! Yesterday I picked up my $590 partial from the dentist that doesn't fit as well as the temptooth. I'm so glad I found this product and will still use it even thou I have my dental partial!!!!

Brief history:
A few months ago, I had to have a tooth pulled. It's third back on top, not really visible, and it just hasn't been a priority for me to pay for a bridge or implant. I'm having some professional photos made in a few weeks so I decided, eh, might as well try this just in case it shows up when I smile really big.

My experience:
First of all - I ordered using standard shipping and I got the package in 3 days. Faster than expected. I got a little pamphlet with instructions and a canister that contained 200 little beads. There's a link in the pamphlet to a video demonstration, and I recommend watching. Directions are fine, but I think seeing the demo in 'real time' was comforting.

I followed the directions and everything worked as described. I used about 10 little beads and that was just about perfect, maybe even a little too much, to make a small molar.

Hint - Use tea unless your teeth are PERFECTLY white

I used tea right away because there was *no way* that bright white color of the beads was going to match my middle-aged teeth. The tea worked great - color was a near-perfect match. A actually cheered, because the color-match was my biggest concern. I mean, you can have the best looking tooth in the world, but if the color is obviously 'wrong' it will look just as bad as a gap, right?

I heated up the tea for about 10 seconds in the microwave - it took less than a minute for the beads to become clear and sticky.

HINT - If you use tea, you won't be able to see the beads once they become transparent. I put them in a mini-ladle and dipped that into the liquid.

You have to work kind of fast, getting the material into the shape you want.
