This album is honestly up there with my all time favorites, which consist of Brand New's 'The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me' and Slint's 'Spiderland.' These guys have created a sound which I absolutely love. They have some songs that are so raw (Spanish Fly) and others that are very mellow and laid back. It's a perfect balance, a perfect album. Buy it now, you won't be sorry.

lucky me, I happened to be in the local indie-music store when this CD was spinning so I snapped it up. 10 Kens have just the right balance between artsy and edgy. Their sound is frequently "moody" but with certain drive and freshness that keeps it all from becoming self-conscious or gimmicky.
I'm digging it and hope there is more to come. Give it try. |
