Tray At His Best,
By
This review is from: Ten Rounds (Audio CD)
I was lucky enough to see Tracy perform six of the songs from Ten Rounds in person. He was awesome and this is his best work ever. There are a lot of great songs Just Let Me Be In Love, Wildfire and many more. Of course Keeper Of The Stars is on it and that is my favorite song in the world. Tracy is the best, I know he has a winner on his hands.

His Best Album Yet,

This is one of Tracy Byrd's finest albums yet, I must admit I just bought it for the song "Just let me be in Love" but that is only one of the awesome songs on this album. I havent taken it out of my CD player since I got it. I was surprised to find that Kenny Chesney and Mark Chesnutt are also on this album, since they showed up in studio when Tracy was recording with a bottle of Tequila (hence the name "Ten Rounds"). The lyric and music quality is great and proves just how far Tracy Byrd has come in his career.

Tracy's 8th album is one of his best,
This review is from: Ten Rounds (Audio CD)
Tracy's 8th album, Ten Rounds, is one of the best albums in his career. Unlinke his last, it is also more radio-friendly with a great mixture of fun / uptemp songs and slower ballads. The sound on the album is more fresh than his recent albums. He sings all songs with a lot of energy and captures the feelings of songs such as the latin sounding 'ten rounds with jose cuervo' and the second single, 'just let me be in love'In my opinion, 'Somebody's Dream' is one of the coolest songs i have ever heard lyrically and musically. It is about the dreams of people, and how they can change quickly. The first single from the cd was 'A Good Way to get on my bad side' sung with Mark Chesnutt. It is a very rocking song. Summertime fever is also a very good Watermelon Crawl / I'm from the country type song. Great ballads include 'needed' and 'how much does the world weigh', which highlights struggles that people face in life. Mid Tempo songs include 'Crazy every time' 'tryin not to love you' and a great song about starting a new relationship in(If you let me fix your heart it's never gonna break again)'never gonna break again' This album also contains a remake of Michael Murphy's 'Wildfire' and a re-recording of Tracy's #1 hit 'The keeper of the stars'. Overall, a very enjoyable album from Tracy along the same lines as his , 'I'm From The Country' album instead of his last album, 'It's about time'

Better than the last!,

I love Tracy Byrds music and have from 1993's self titled album. He's got a real western swing/cowboy/traditional country sound. I love Somebodys's Dream it's a Chris LeDoux kind of Cowboy Rock swing song.

COUNTRY'S STILL ALIVE!!!,

There are a few still around trying to keep the country sound from being merged with pop pap, and Tracy Byrd's one of them. This is a really strong album. "Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo" is a natural party song, one ranks with Tom T Hall's "I Like Beer".Then at the other end of the stick, there's "Somebody's Dream", a truly serious type song that definitely works here. Then there's the duet with Mark Chesnutt, "A Good Way To Get On My Bad Side". Definitely enjoyable. I think I'd pick "Never Gonna Break Again" as my favorite here, but really, they're all good...well, maybe "Wildfire" was unnecessary, but other than that, there's hardly a song you'd want to skip here.

i have to start off by saying i went to school with tracy byrd and have seen him perform several times and have talked with him face to face and if anyone in the entertainment business deserves their success,it's defintely him.this album does not disappoint(neither have his other albums)and he is one of the few you can actually consider country. he's always stayed true to his roots and from seeing him perform at our local vfw just last night and watching him walk around and talk with everyone proves that he hasn't forgotten where he came from. we'll be seeing alot more from him for many years to come...way to go tracy!

The Best Album of 2001,
By A Customer
This review is from: Ten Rounds (Audio CD)
This is one awesome album. Tracy has outdone himself this time. "Just let me be in love" is a wonderful light romantic song and "Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo" is a lively party song which surpasses his "Watermelon Crawl" song. The entire album is upbeat, happy and one to listen to over and over. I'm thoroughly addicted to this cd and have to force myself to put something else on my cd player. If you even remotely like Tracy Byrd, you'll love this cd!!!!

Keeping it Country,

Tracy Byrd has yet another hit album, Ten Rounds. As your driving in your car listening to this CD there won't be a single track that you want to skip over. Ten Rounds has the perfect the perfect blend of Byrd's soft and sweet ballads; in addition to, toe-tapping country bogie. Tracy Byrd recreates such classics as "Wildfire" and "Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo" with superior musical abilities. This CD is most definatley made for the working class and those who aren't ashamed to be country. With songs such as "How Much Does the World Weigh" and "Somebody's Dream" you are reminded that life is a precious thing and to carpe diem. The CD also celebrates love with songs like "Just Let Me Be In Love." and "Needed." To remind all of his fans of how great he is, released "Keeper of the Stars." for this album. This hit single was his claim to fame and paved his way to his very triumphant career. You can feel the emotion of his words as he eloquently sings in his strong voice. Mark Chesnutt joined Byrd on the album for the duet "A Good Way to Get On My Bad Side." In this sizzling single Byrd and Chesnutt show their distain toward [dishonest] politicians, boy bands, and country [imitator]. This CD is a sure hit for all those who appreciate true country.

The Best CD of Tracy Byrd's Career.....So Far,
By
This review is from: Ten Rounds (Audio CD)
Tracy Byrd has recorded and released the best CD of his career. "Ten Rounds" is both musically and lyrically the most consistent album Tracy has produced. There is not a single song that is not likeable and listenable.I started listening to this CD ... when it was first released. It is perfect for driving because it just flows perfectly from country rockers to slow romantic ballads to fun party songs. The best single release off this CD is "Just Let Me Be In Love" which was a top 10 ten hit last winter for Tracy. He produced a cool video which took off immediately on CMT. This song returned Tracy to the radio playlists and rejuvinated his career. The latest hit song is "Ten Rounds of Jose Cuervo" which has just reached the top ten also. This song is a real crowd pleaser and perfect in a bar or concert setting. My other favorites from this release are "Tryin' Not to Love You", "Somebody's Dream" and "Crazy Every Time". This CD "Ten Rounds" is Tracy Byrd's second RCA Records release and it has brought back this wonderful musician and vocalist to the spotlight in which he belongs in. Tracy is one of the best performers in country music today. Trust me, buy yourself a copy of "Ten Rounds" put it in the player, kick back and enjoy!
