Rhino Records presents not just Three Tenors or Irish Tenors...but the latest surprise on the classical scene is The Ten Tenors with their new DVD... Students in 1995 studying opera classics, they performed in 1998 while attending the University and began touring...haven't stopped since ~ their individuality and comradeship with close touching harmony will soon grab you and never let go ~ outstanding performances "STONDE" [Patrick Abrial/Jean Marc Grossi/Thierry Micaelli], beautiful beyond words, "POR UNA CABEZA" [Carlos Gardel/Alfredo Le Para], the tango from the film "Scent Of A Woman", the vocal is extraordinary, "SUNDANCE" [Andy Arthurs/Philip Chambon], folk genre beat with tempos that get completely under your skin, terrific arrangements by the composer, "DESTINY LIES" [Craig Atkinson/Stewart Morris], lead vocal by Jason Turbull reads like a Top Ten New Age Hit, full orchestra and chorus abound ~ "CONQUEST OF PARADISE" [Vangelis], non stop harmony and brilliant orchestration with the full voices of The Ten Tenors, enough power to light up a big city block ~ "BICYCLE RACE" [Freddie Mercury], the ultimate big hit of Queen, brilliant arrangements by Shannon Brown and Drew Graham.

This is full, rich, rounded musical sound of mature and trained voices performing in range from hauntingly lyrical to full throated vigorous drama. And here, among all excellent pieces, is the best Waltzing Matilda I've ever heard! The performers are talented, likable and inventive, and their enjoyment in their music is infectious. I am so glad to have found this group. I'll have to travel quite a ways to catch them live, but that is an audience I MUST take part in.

My parents and I watched the show in Philadelphia on March 18th with front row seats. Do you know that these guys are cute, handsome, single (I think), and also have perfect teeth? Their songs are amazing: Funiculi Funicula, Thunder Point, Nessun Dorma, Por Una Cabeza, Water, The Australian Medley, and Rawhide are my personal favorites. Their songs are inspiring and sometimes a tearjerker. Their all natural voices bring back past memories. The music is amazing (talk about the "overature" to Funiculi Funicula!). I salute you Craig, Craig, Dion (the understudy), Shannon, Tod, Chopper, Dom, Stewart, David, Liam and Drew.

I, too, caught just the last few minutes of their "Larger Than Life" concert broadcast on PBS, and was instantly hooked! I could not wait to order their CD and DVD on line. I have not been this excited about a vocal band since The Beatles hit the shores of the U.S. -- and TTT are soooooo much better! Since receiving the CD, I've rarely listened to anything else. And their physical performance -- so subtle, but so effective. When they sing in unison, they are as one voice -- a true sign of a really professional and first quality group. They are H-O-T!!!

The Ten Tenors Are Unbelievable. I caught a small part of their performance on APT and became mesmerized. I got on the computer and ordered their CD Larger than Life right away and love it. But I just have to have the DVD. They are so much fun to watch. Watch for them America. They will steal your heart!

This is one of the best Opera DVDs I have ever watched. These guys are fantastic! Even if you aren't a huge fan of opera, it's worth watching this DVD. They make opera fun! To quote from the DVD "the best of opera without all the boring bits!"

We saw their show in Reno, Nevada at the beginning of April. The show was very entertaining and different from the DVD. Their comaraderie comes out in their singing and their performance. I would advice for you to watch their concert live.
The Dvd is great. I would encourage to also get the CD. It is great to see them perform the songs they sing.

This DVD was less than expected for me since I had seen The Ten Tenors perform locally this past year. Since they recorded this in 2004, they have added many more numbers to their performance including a great imitation of the BeeGees and other humorous musical tributes. I am looking forward to an American version of their Heros performance and hope it has more of the new stuff!!!

The performance is good, but it lacks the atmosphere, presentation and punch of a concert which was performed by the Ten Tenors and superbly filmed and recorded by a German T.V. crew in Hamburg, titled , "Here's To The Heros ". It is "absolutely " outstanding ! Unfortunately only the CD version appears to be available for unlucky North Americans . I was wanting to buy a copy of Here's To The Heros for my sister in Canada and friends in Austin Texas but alas , the DVD is only available to regions 2,3,4,5 and 6 in the PAL format. Why , Warner Bros.Music , Why ? ?

The Ten Tenors are incredible singers of opera and classical music. Their voices blend perfectly and they can really reach those high notes. However, it's sad to see their talent wasted on the likes of Queen, Elvis and other pop and rock tunes. Anyone can sing those, but the Ten Tenors are some of the few who can really sing the classics beautifully.
