4.0 out of 5 stars Handy Guide for Feng Shui practitioners
This book is a handy guide for those of us already practicing classical Feng Shui. If you are new to Feng Shui, practice Western or Black Hat, this guide will be confusing as you need to be familiar with the terminology to use it.

It's a great book for quickly referring to Flying Star charts and other information you need for client consultations.

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointed
I was disappointed with this book because there were no explanations of using the calendar. Although I didn't expect a comprehensive guide, I did expect to gain some understanding of how to use it. I have a biginner's knowledge of flying star feng shui and expected to get some use out of the book. Unless you have other books of Joey Yap's I doubt that you will understand...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Reference Guide, March 5, 2008

I have always wanted a handy book that I can refer to for doing my Chinese Astrology charts which Joey Yap calls 'BaZi' so I take this book and keep it in my car all the time coz you never know when you will need it! I also find the other references a big plus! It has all the charts for reference in BaZi , Purple Star Astrology and all the Flying Star charts with daily stars too!! Very, very useful indeed. Every practitioner should have one of these book they refer to all the time. I will definitely recommend this to all practitioners and serious students who needs a good reference.

I am just beginning to learn Bazi. This book takes you step by step to learn the basics. The tables and illustrations are very helpful for visual learners, the examples make the learning easier.

1.0 out of 5 stars WORSE BOOK I EVER HAD, March 28, 2009
This review is from: The Ten Thousand Year Calendar - Your Definitive Reference For Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology (English and Chinese Edition) (Paperback)
First of all you need good eyes or a magnifier to read the small text in the calendars. And the book tells all this Zi Wei Stars and chart, BUT you had no clue where to put it, the reason why???

It should tell you how to place the Earthly stems into the 12 sector, if you couldn't do so HOW you know to place the stars????

After the Earthly Stem you than know how to place the Heavenly stem in-front of the Earthly, than you may start to place the stars into the 12 sectors.

Anyway this book is so easy to write and it is not helpful at all, and for sure those who do not know anything about Zi Wei Dou Shu, will be so lost. The worse book I ever had.
