4.0 out of 5 stars The sixth DVD of the Tenchi In Tokyo series.
Ryoko, hurt and feeling betrayed, returns to a life of crime, while Kiyone and Mihoshi are promoted to Headquarters. Washu has become so obsessed with her research that she even ignores Ayeka and the rest of the household, what's left of it.
Yugi and her minions are winning. The family is breaking apart and as each person leaves Yugi becomes more and more...

2.0 out of 5 stars Tenchi Series? I doubt it!
Unlike some Tenchi series this one just stinks. The animation is horrible. I'm sorry to diss it this bad but it's true. This is, in my mind, the worst Tenchi series yet... I can't really find anything really good about this. I'd recomend Tenchi Universe or better yet the Tenchi OAV series. The people who did this one didn't do so well with the animation. The plot is...

The family is breaking apart and as each person leaves Yugi becomes more and more delighted.
Even Sasami and Ryo-Ohki break away, feeling Ayeka has gone insane.
Soon Yugi will win...but what does that mean? What will happen when she wins? And has Tenchi become too involved with Sakuya to care?

5.0 out of 5 stars The best thing I have seen, January 19, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Tenchi in Tokyo 6: A New Challenge (DVD)
I am a huge fan of Tenchi Masaki & love Tenchi in Tokyo. Ok, maybe the art has gone gone funny & the story line has changed but what matters is how good the story is. It keeps you on the edge of your seat & you want to find out whats happens. This is a great story. I have never seen something this good for ages. Its the best i have seen, & i hope you agree.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Your Typical Tenchi. . ., September 20, 2000
This review is from: Tenchi in Tokyo 6: A New Challenge (DVD)
I'm writing this review because the last one gave it a low rating because of the depressing parts of the series. I think that a film that effects you emotionally in any way is worth a lot. This series is filled with heartache and romantic confusion, and it even involves a couple of very sweet scenes between Tenchi and Ryoko. I nearly cried when I realized that the Masaki family really was going to drift apart. In all, I would have given this series 5 stars. The only thing keeping it from being five star material is that the artwork is terrible. I can onyl guess that the artists are different fro mthose who worked on Tenchi Muyo and Tenchi Universe. Sasami has red and black eyes, and Ryoko's face has completely changed shape! The story also differs slightly, in that Ryo-Oki now seems to belong to Sasami, and has little to no connection with Ryoko. But please don't let that deter you, if you are a fan of the Tenchi series, by all means, buy this now! If you're just starting out, this series may give you the wrong idea, I suggest beginning with either of the first two series.

The plot is acceptable but I've only seen these few episodes. It was very hard to get into.

This review is from: Tenchi in Tokyo 6: A New Challenge (DVD)
Even though some parts of this dvd is sad it is alsointeresting it isn't as good as the series that came before it. Butthis particular series deals with a mutant Jarian called Yugi. Who is awakend from long sleep and tries to split up the masiki family to get rid of jewles that tenchi recived from his mother and gave to his friends. The event in this series are rather depressing. thats why i gave it three stars.
