Leslie Nuchow/ a true original,
By Jana (Florida) - See all my reviews

in a world of music wannabes and record executives who are afraid to take a chance, Leslie stands out as a true original. She is creative and daring and honest in her music and her lyrics.

Sensual & Stunning,
By A Customer
This review is from: Tenderland (Audio CD)
This CD is a *must* have. Everysong takes your senses to a new level...from sensual, to sad, to romantic...This CD runs the gamut. Leslie's vocals are pure divinity. Not a bad song on this disc. You'll love this CD if you like: Tori Amos, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, etc...

The Better 1/2 of Me,
By Ken Kressin (Cannon Falls, MN USA) - See all my reviews

This woman produced a great album...talk about a powerful, passionate voice. Looking for singles...try "The Better 1/2 of Me" and "Something for the Pain"... and definitely check out "Say Goodbye To That" from her benefit for Kosovo album contribution...it is a timeless, powerful cry for change and a peaceful, caring world...just beautiful and timeless.

The most soulful, incredible CD I've heard in a long time,

Leslie's CD does not cease to amaze me. Every time I listen to it, I hear something new and I am blown away by it in its entirity. She is very soulful, sexy, and sensual. At the same time, her lyrics are extremely well-written and they are even better when she turns them into music. A real poet and artist, Leslie's music has had a profound effect on me in many aspects.

Takes a while to find an artist like this,
By Christina (Litchfield, MN United States) - See all my reviews

I downloaded this album on a recommendation based on other music I listen to (from itunes "genius"). Based on the small number of reviews, I would guess that this artist is a little less-known so I thought I would recommend it. No, not a faithful follower for a number of years, just someone who likes singer-songwriters and is constantly sifting through new artists for a real connection. I wouldn't describe this as a happy go lucky album but one that you would listen to for a little introspection. I tried to listen to it as background music but her lyrics are meaningful and catch your mind off guard. When I first heard her voice I thought "sounds like Sinead OConnor" without the angst. That is where I will I will stop the comparison. If you like a woman singer and a piano (ala Tori Amos), you might give this a try. I thought the most immediately like-able song was 1/2 of me.
