Appalachian Spring,
By mary janss (Eugene, Oregon) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Tenderland Suite / Appalachian Spring (Chamber) (Audio CD)
This is the most tender and interesting version of Appalachian Spring I have ever heard. Actually I heard this group live, and then purchaced their CD which is virtually as beautiful as hearing them in the flesh. All the parts and phrases came alive and seemed to take on a life of their own while still being in complete relationship with eachother. Bravo

This is a 13 piece ensemble of two great compositions of A.Copland. If you are a fan of his work this will be a pleasant addition. To put that much musical score into 13 instruments and two vocalist is note worthy in and of itself.
