5.0 out of 5 stars Best D size NiMH ever used!
I was in market for a nice D sized rechargeable and got so disappointed by those in target/walmart that marks 2500mAh, looks like all that energizer/duracell did was put a bigger shell outside a AA battery and sell for much more money. I got 4 of these Tenergy cells from a friend, and they are simply AMAZING!

1.0 out of 5 stars 35% Failure Rate
I didn't buy these so I could throw them away after 2 or 3 uses. The batteries seem to work OK, but I've had a 15% failure rate after only 3 charging cycles. They advertise up to 1000 charging cycles. So, I contacted customer support to ask if the 15% failure rate was unusual and they never responded to my e-mail. 3 stars for the batteries, minus 1 for bad customer...

5.0 out of 5 stars Best D size NiMH ever used!, November 25, 2008
This review is from: 8 pcs of Tenergy D Size 10,000mAh High Capacity High Rate NiMH Rechargeable Batteries (Electronics)

Not only the capacity is so huge, but also I heard they are the new generation low-self-discharge, and after a few months use, I can testify that all these are TRUE!

One bad thing for me is that I do not have a good charger, my old D cell capable charger can only do 500mA, so it took a whole day and night for me to charge them, but I have never had to do the recharge often at all, it lasts so long that I feel like it is battery than those disposable duracells, although I have not done any precise measurement.

I believe my last set of duracell disposable lasted about a month or so in the baby swing set, and the tenergy lasts for well over a month in my impression, coz I only had to charge them twice so far within 4 months.

I know my AA NiMHs will dry out in 2 months even if I do not touch them, so the low self discharge seems really helped.

Combining all the facts - 10Ah huge capacity, low discharge, and rechargeable! I am sure these batteries are the best D cells I've ever used!

5.0 out of 5 stars Expensive but well worth it, January 18, 2009

It seems that everything one buys for a newborn requires D batteries, but most rechargeables we saw were AAs in a D shell, giving very short charge life. Not these high capacity batteries. These were certainly not cheap, but we can go weeks without replacing batteries, even in the swing, which our son spent a few weeks sleeping in overnight due to his reflux.

We have been very happy with these and would highly recommend them.

5.0 out of 5 stars best "D" cells in existence, October 7, 2009
This review is from: 8 pcs of Tenergy D Size 10,000mAh High Capacity High Rate NiMH Rechargeable Batteries (Electronics)
Over three years of near-continuous use with no failures. Don't be put off by the generic name; I've been using various sizes of Tenergy batteries for five years without any going bad.

If there is one shortcoming to these batteries--and I should stress that the problem lies not only with these in particular--is that the batteries' sleeves seem destined to fail long before the conductive paste inside them ceases to hold a useful charge.

UPDATE: Four more batteries have failed in the past 2 recharging cycles so that's 7 out of 20 batteries that have failed in the first 6-7 charging cycles. That's $43.75 worth of batteries I've had to throw away.

I normally run the "Altec Lansing inMotion MIX iMT800 Portable Digital Boom Box for iPhone and iPod" from the wall outlet. However I was extreemly happy that I bought the bundle (charger, batteries, and boom box) from Amazon. When the power went out during the 2010 blizzard we continued to listen to our favorite west coast radio stations using the boombox and the iPhone. BTW two iPhones ran out of power and we were listening to an iPod when the power came back. The D cells never failed us.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cells go bad quickly, can't be recharged, December 26, 2010

I guess I'll be one of the dissenting ones from all the good ratings these batteries have gotten. I bought these batteries for the very expensive price they charge along with the Tenergy T9688 charger. After only a couple of charges, 3 of these D cells have gone bad!!! The charger explicitly says "Bad" when I put them in to charge. Huge waste of money will be looking for better cells from another manufacturer.

I bought the package of 8 and one battery was defective. Amazon stated that for a refund, I had to go through the saler. I can not retun one battery, you have to return all batteries.

This batteries are just perfect, they have a huge life of charge that last almost a week using it at least 10 hours per day. I use this batteries for my Altec Lansing inMotion MIX iMT800 BoomBox, and im more than satisfied with this batteries, i can carry the Boom Box wherever i go, and no need of electric wire, thats perfect.

Great product. Bought these batteries to power my child's swing, chair, and mobile, and am completely satisfied with them. Bought these batteries in combination with the recharger. Because they do take about 8hrs to recharge, I recommend having twice the number of batteries you need (to power whatever you are using it for) so you always have available charged batteries. The batteries hold the charge for a decent amount of time and work great. Although the initial cost is a bit high, you will definitely save money over time using these rechargeables.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't beat Tenergy, April 4, 2010
This review is from: 8 pcs of Tenergy D Size 10,000mAh High Capacity High Rate NiMH Rechargeable Batteries (Electronics)
In the past I was buying regular batteries and just dumping them and wasting a ton of cash. I then moved up to the rechargeable and getting them from Walmart and Target. I was very disappointed in the Duracells and etc. I went online and I found these on all-battery website. Granted I did not buy these from Amazon but I have a lot of these Tenergy batteries now. These are the real thing not just AA repackaged in a bigger casing like the Duracells etc.

I have ordered over 70 AA and AAA batteries and also bought their 9 volt D and C batteries in bundles with their rapid chargers they also sale. The charger sits on my desk and has the LCD screen telling you the progress of the charging and these batteries do last. You cannot go wrong with them I use nothing but Tenergy batteries now and will probably never have to buy another rechargeable battery again.
