It's a bit too early to come to a definitive conclusion on this approach for powering my two Insight flashlights. None-the-less, I will post my initial impressions. I will, Lord willing, follow it up with some time-usage data.

- The charger seems to be made reasonably well although the battery fit, from my perspective is just a bit too tight.
- The charger gradually charged them up over night. They didn't get hot in process so I'm assuming, without checking them with a meter, that their trickle approach is valid.

- All of the batteries took a good charge, so that part ot the package deal seems to be working OK as well, although it looks like some of the other reviews may have gotten a couple bad-batch batteries.
- The flashlights work fine with these rechargeable cells, so in spite of their lower mAh usage capacity as compared to the pricy one-time use throw-aways, so far, there doesn't seem to be any compatibility usage issues.

- The set was a bit pricy so I pulled one star on my rating.
- For going with the flow and using old tech in the batteries construction with lower mAh capacity I pulled another one.

05/2012 update. Question: Why do people allow themselves be led with an intellectual nose-ring by industry and their government puppets?

What makes some ion-process cells (batteries) rechargeable and others non-rechargeable while they both do essentially the same process? A few years back, it was announced that there was now a methodology for recharging regular Alkaline batteries. It was buried within a few short months.

I bought two of these Lithium batteries and find they just won't take a charge. I repeatedly charged them and tried using them in an LED flashlight. At best they would hold the light on for about 5 seconds. I have an older set (less milliamp hour rated) that I bought a few years ago and they do a good job. Had high hopes for these higher rated capacity batteries but have given up on them.

I bought these batteries for use with my maglite mag-tac flashlight and they have been working great. I have recharged them at least a dozen times now and I am getting consistant run times per charge. I have been using them for almost a month now. Alot cheaper than buying standard 1 time use cr123 batteries and the throwing them away. I would have given it 5 stars if the run time on them was longer than an hour and a half, but that short run time is probably because of the protection on the batteries not wanting to overdischarge. Good battery overall. Saves me a lot of money.

rechargeable batteries for my security system is just what I needed. The charger is small and the price will pay itself off in a year. It arrived within 10 days and took only 24 hours or less to charge.

So far, so good. - The charger and batteries look well constructed. The charger definitely isn't haphazardly designed. As long as the batteries perform as described, It should take some of the sting out of the price!! (I'll update, if any problems...)

I have an older version of the batteries and they work just fine. But none of these will work in tactical flashlights. I've tried charging them in other, better chargers, and still they won't work. Some of them were even DOA. I plan to return them.
