5.0 out of 5 stars Tenergy Works for Me...
Three years ago I purchased a set of 25 "AA" NIMH 2600mAh cells from Tenergy along with 12 "C" NIMH cells. I am a Professional Photographer and use this set of cells unmercifully on a regular basis. On week long gigs this set will power a strobe for ten hours each day (8- "AA" cells and 6- "C" cells) with out replacement and would power through an average of 2,500 flash...

1.0 out of 5 stars Bad batteries
I bought 8 tenergy batteries on two occasions, all AA's. Both sets hold a charge for about a week, about two weeks if you don't use them. They are junk, either I was VERY unlucky or they have a quality control problem. I used their own charger as well as a Sanyo Ni-mh charger.... same result.
As a comparison my eneloop batteries are still powering my remotes/...

5.0 out of 5 stars Tenergy Works for Me..., March 13, 2010

On week long gigs this set will power a strobe for ten hours each day (8- "AA" cells and 6- "C" cells) with out replacement and would power through an average of 2,500 flash discharges daily and again...for the past three years. The batteries are stored in their provided cases when not in use and are put through deep conditioning cycle charging prior to use. My livelihood depends on these cells and I am ordering a fresh batch now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good batteries for cheap, May 27, 2009

I use these batteries with an Energizer rapid charger (15 min.) I've had them about a year and have had GREAT results, compared to Energizer brand and one other whose name I can't remember. They hold the charge a long time in the fridge and I've pretty much phased out all my other batteries in my house.
Maybe the other negative reviewers got a bad batch? Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend mine, and I've ordered them separately twice.

Don't buy

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, but very poor quality, January 14, 2010

These batteries are dirt cheap.

They are also very bad at the two most important qualities for a battery: working at all and powering devices for a period of time.

I received 8 AA and 4 AAA batteries in a pack with a charger (the charger works fine).

After 3 months, 3 of the AA and 2 of the AAA were completely dead. Will not charge at all anymore.

The ones that do work, last a pathetic amount of time. For example, my razor uses 1 AA battery. All of the other batteries I have used in the razor last me about 2 months before I need to change it. These batteries last about 10 days.

I simply threw the rest of these batteries out. It's not worth the hassle. Do yourself a favor and buy the Sanyo Eneloops. Best batteries out there. You can also get some Energizers that are the same as these, but Energizer resells both these and the Rayovac under the same name so you don't know which you're getting until you have them in your hand. The Rayovacs are good too, so you won't be disappointed if you wind up with them, but the Sanyos have a better shelf life so I'd just stick with them.

4.0 out of 5 stars good value,fast shipping, April 25, 2009

Good price on bulk batteries, postive tab is slightly shorter than other rechargeable batteries that I have, found a small washer or bending foil will do the trick on some toys. Would buy from again, fast shipping

The negative terminal on this AA battery is not long enough to work on some products. I had to mix with other rechargables batteries in the spot that the battery contacts the negative terminal on the product to make them work. They make there negative terminal to minimum stamdard requirments were other battery makers most be making theirs longer to correct for product differances.

Don't buy these batteries. I replaced my old ones in my solar lights. Within 2 weeks they would only hold a charge for 2 hours. I went and purchased some name brand batteries and they stay lite all night. I repeat don't purchase these unless you only need a charge for a short period of time.

I bought 60+ Tenergy batteries (includes AA, AAA, C and D size) and Tenergy Speedy Box charger from [...] about 2 years ago. Both C and D size batteries works fine in my kids' toys. However, both AA and AAA batteries are totally junk. Their AA batteries only last less than 1/4 time in a toy comparing to alkaline batteries in the same toy. AAA batteries do not work at all in 80% of my devices. Even it works, device will show low battery immediately. Recently I purchased a La Crosse charger and finally discovered problems with those Tenergy batteries. For Tenergy AA batteries rated at 2600mAh, the best one could only hold 2100mAh and majority of them only hold around 1600mAh. There are about 10% of my AA batteries could only hold 1000mAh. For AAA batteries rated at 1000mAh, 1/3 of them hold less than 400mAh. The best one hold 745mAh, the rest of them hold around 600mAh. Also all Tenergy AA and AAA batteries hold less than 40% of power after 2 weeks sitting on the shelf. I am slowly replacing all those Tenergy batteries with Sanyo Eneloop batteries, which are lot more expensive but you got what you are paying for. Be aware of bad quality of Tenergy AA and AAA batteries. I learned it in a hard way.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great capacity, fast self discharge rate, July 7, 2011
This review is from: 24 pcs of Tenergy AA 2600 mAh high capacity NiMH Rechargeable batteries with 6 Free Holders (Electronics)
I am using these batteries in a digital camera (point and shoot type). If I charge the batteries and use them right away they will run the cammera all day with flash. But... leave them sit in the camera for a week or so and they will self discharge quickly. The strange bit is that if you don't put them in a device and leave them sit out charged they will hold a charge. I know that standby on my camera does not draw that much current when the camera is off. I am not sure if I would buy these again or not.
