Tennessee Central book,

As a railfan with connections, I managed to ride the entire Tennessee Central system...mostly in locomotive cabs...some in cabooses...and developed an admiration for the little line that still endures. This publication contains the most extensive collection of TC photos I know of...and I am honored that a few of them are from a personal collection that I donated to the TC Historical Society. If you're a fan of struggling short-lines, steam locomotives, wooden passenger cars, Alco-GE diesels, red cabooses, and the Tennessee Central in particular, this book is for you.

For TC fans, this book is a true gem. Great history, photos and information on the company. Its only shortcomings are that is is not long enough in that I finished reading and looking through it way too soon. Also, I would have liked more info on the business interests, activities and court decisions leading up to the break up of the company.
