BOYD BENNETT ROCKS OUT WITH A TOUCH OF ELVIS - BILL HALEY AND SOME DAMN GOOD ROCK AND ROLL. FROM THE GUITARIST TO THE BASSIST, AND THE SAX IS PRETTY HOT TOO. THIS KIND OF ROCK ROLL JUST AIN'T AROUND MUCH ANY MORE. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, A LOT

It's no surprise that late 70's English punk bands loved Boyd Bennett. The music was pure 50's US Country Rockabilly, a clean bottom bass, an urgin' sax, an attitude, and rebel winks.
Boyd Bennett and the Rockets might have been considered just an off the shoulder Bill Haley and Comets without the top 40 hits. But! those who love the truth know that Boyd cut sides that will swing hand in hand with any Toni-Permed girl and flat-top haircut boy in love with dancin' and romancin' This complilation CD has Boyd's hits and a great booklet of the history of Boyd Bennett and the Rockets. Read it, listen, and love this rockin' life..! |
