Short book, easy to read.

It sure helped me to win a few more sets than I would have if I hadn't read the book, so that's the best thing I can say to recommend it.
Dean
I've recently started getting serious about my tennis, and love to play, watch, and read tennis.

Some reviewer said that this book is for beginner, which is not true.
This book is not meant for the beginner. Rather this is the book for somewhat established players who knows how to hit forehand, backhand, volleys, and serves. This book will definitely help you improve shots and winning percentage by tuning your physical and/or mental abilities. As the author said in the first chapter, "this book will enable you to 'use what you have' better and 'do what you can' smarter".
As your tennis level goes high, you will realize that tennis is more mental game. That means sometime you cannot play the match in the same way that you just practice. This will definitely help you use what you have and upgrade your level. Short book, easy to read. Thus, master things described in the book and you will realize that your winning percentage goes higher.

I've recently started getting serious about my tennis, and love to play, watch, and read tennis. This is my favorite tennis book -- easy to read, all at once or a little at a time, and in fact I'm going to order my third copy -- I've already given the first two away to tennis buddies! If you're a club level player, this is for you.

I have a few books on playing tennis and strategy -- this is by far the most straightforward and easiest to apply. Not lots of technical specifics about shots and strategy, but more about getting your head on the game your are playing. I highly recommend this book, and I am passing on the tips I learned from it to all my tennis team mates.

I've now read (or leafed through) a ton of tennis books, and this book is by far the most instructive book I've found. This is especially true if your focus is on tactics and mental preparation, and not just on how to perfect your shots. It's well written, which makes it all the more likely you'll read and remember the many practical tips within. It sure helped me to win a few more sets than I would have if I hadn't read the book, so that's the best thing I can say to recommend it. It also has a good section on keeping things in perspective to make sure tennis is fun and not a battleground on the court or in your mind. Definitely worth the money!
