5.0 out of 5 stars well done, complete tennis overview by two great players, July 7, 1999

This review is from: Tennis Our Way [VHS] (VHS Tape)
For less than the cost of a lesson you get a clear, coherent set of lessons on nearly every topic including doubles play. Despite the copyright date, this tape is only slightly dated. Plenty of slow motion footage which is especially eye opening on the serve, overhead and net play. Watching Arthur Ashe play the net in slow motion is worth the price of admission alone. If you are serious about learning tennis or improving all strokes you can't really go wrong with this $20 investment. This video was definately very useful to this ambitious intermediate player. Could have covered the topic of topspin a little better but otherwise very comprehensive. Considering the lack of availability of tennis instructional videos, this is a really good tennis tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tennis Our Way, November 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Tennis Our Way [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is an excellent, comprehensive(and lengthy -- about 2 1/2 hours)video. Instruction and "tips" are given by tennis legends Arthur Ashe, Stan Smith and Vic Braden so there's plenty of variety in it. It covers tennis from basics to more advanced practices at a quick pace, but there's no problem folowing it ---especially with the "rewind" feature of your VCR once in a while. I'm an adult beginner player, and found this video very interesting and helpful. But I think players at all levels would still enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive, good pace and entertaining, February 13, 2000

This review is from: Tennis Our Way [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video covers many, many aspects of the game at a pace that allows understanding, but moves quickly from topic to topic. It is well produced. Smith, Ashe and Braden make an informative, entertaining teaching trio.
