Most Helpful Customer Reviews

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful By Dj Davenport Jr. on August 9, 2005
Amateur player, club pro, tennis partner to the stars, Doug Dean has seen it all, and that experience translates into valuable tips for the average guy trying to keep the ball in play. But what makes the book truly compelling is the game behind the game. Dean's friendship with Bobby Riggs, his long tennis association with Kenny Rogers, his days as a teaching pro in Las Vegas--all provide a fascinating study of that search for mastery on the court and that glimpse of humanity off the court.

Practical. Insightful. And often very funny. It's a winner.

His tennis tips couldn't be better. The tips will help beginner, club, and tour players, You just need to remember them. Just because you've learned them doesn't mean you're still concious of them. Everyone needs to be reminded the critical importance of the setup. Among many other excellent tips. A superb book to touch base with before any and all tennis matches.
