Comment: This book has already been well loved by someone else and that love shows. It MIGHT have highlighting, underlining, be missing a dust jacket, or SLIGHT water damage, but over-all itâ?TMs still a good book at a great price! (if it is supposed to contain a CD or access code, that may be missing)

This book really hits the strings in the sweet spot! The book's premise, that tennis is a game of emergencies, and that being your own coach is the best way to improve and excel, is a great example of how to get to the next level without the aid of thousands of dollars of lessons exclaiming "racket back, turn sideways, move your feet, and watch the ball." Burwash dispels the myths, and elaborates on the 3 fundamentals, the 5 dimensions, and such interesting and practical concepts as triple vision, the second bounce theory, and other very "hands on" advice from one who has been there. Highly recommended for all levels, and for aspiring or veteran coaches looking to get their students "unstuck" and on their way to the next level.

The book is really good. If you want to learn about the technicalities of the game. Gives a good insight into the game of tennis. But lacks the ability to teach you competetive tennis. Overall a good book for beginners.

The stories in the book are very warm engaging and some rivet you to them. They are varied and powerful in that they take you back to the past on things one can relate.
