Another massively rewarding straight ahead session by the great Bergonzi. Maybe if he were hip and black he might have more cachet, but as it is, he's blowing the best tenor out there today and doing so in a straight ahead way with amazing fluid virtuosity. Everything on this CD is amazing and very musical. Just buy it, this is one the jazz CD of 2008.
