5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Sounds From The Island of Sardinia, September 11, 2010
By
This review is from: Tenores De Oniferi (Audio CD)
Polyphonic Singing from Sardinia served as an introduction for me to this traditional style of singing that I had never known. These men use overtones and harmonies to create shifting walls of sound. It's a truly unique sound that leaves quite an impression. It's streams and bends in unison. This music creates a space and holds it. The sustained pitches bend around a slow spiraling void. The music is exciting and quickens the pulse. It's alive with mystery and wonder.

Buy the album and talk about it for years with anyone who will listen. You will be a convert and an agent for the propagation of this fine music!
