This headphone does everything I expect. I use it mostly during exercise and I find that the volume is more than sufficient. Controls on the right side work fine and I am able to receive cell phone calls without any problems. During cell phone conversations, I can hear the caller speaking but sometimes I need to speak louder for the caller to hear me.
The unit comes with a two sided USB charger and my only issue with this item is that the charger is not an outlet charger. You need to plug the unit into a computer. Obviously, this was done to save money and that caused me to rate the headphone less than 5. I don't use the headphone for computing so this makes it less useful. I have had to to reuse my old USB wall charger. One good thing about the design at least for me is that since I use this primarily for exercise, I like the fact that the foam on the ear cups are integrated into the unit instead of the more common slip on design. The slip on design tends to come off over time, get distended and becomes a nuisance. The foam on these units will not come off unless ripped which also means they would be harder to replace. The unit holds its charge sufficiently, I have yet to run out of charge even after 10 hours of use. Still to determine is the longterm overall durability of this unit.

Low frequency bass is a little weak and the max volume isn't as high as other wireless headphones I've used.
So, this probably not the best product for the audiophiles out there. That being said, for a few dollars more than what you'd pay for a decent set of similar wired headphones, you can get a quality Bluetooth set. They fit great and haven't caused me any trouble on my bike or at the gym. The call/sound quality is fine, and the buttons interact properly with my phone (Android based). Really, for the average consumer, it probably doesn't make sense to buy anything more expensive. Oh and I was worried that there wasn't a play/pause button, however, the one with the phone symbol serves this purpose.

Great, especially for the price. Comfortable and isn't tight, even around my big head. Haha.
The only thing is that sometimes the speed of the music changes. This happens even if the headphones have been charged and the cell phone has a lot of battery power left. I'm not sure if this is the fault of the headphones, or if this is just part of the bluetooth technology (or other factors). It's not really that big of a deal, though. Great for making calls, too. Sometimes I speak pretty softly and people can still hear me.

Not Very Good,

I bought these to replace some cheap rocketfish Bluetooth Headphones I bought on clearance. I am returning these a couple of days after receiving them... I used these on 3 different phones, from three different manufacturers (all android) and an ipod touch. I had the same problems to varying degrees with all 4 devices. The Good: 1. For the price they can sound pretty decent. 2. They are very comfortable, even with my large size head and glasses. These were VERY comfortable for the few straight hours I used them. The Bad: 1. As other reviewers said these do slow down or speed up the music you are listening to. It happened using double twist, google and htc music players. As well as Mort player (for audio books). It did not occur on Iheartradio (don't think it is possible) but it instead it would just stop playing. 2. When the music wasn't slowing down, it was skipping. I could understand if I was 30 feet away, but this happened when I was sitting 5 feet from the device. 3. Your device cannot be in your pocket. Skipping is bad when the device is still, it is horrible when moving around in a pocket. 4. It constantly had to reconnect to my device. At least it did it automatically, but it had trouble staying connected. 5. Calls echo on the other end. My wife made me take them off when I was talking to her because she said I echoed the whole call. Like I said at the beginning I am sending these back. I read some of the other reviews and they had similar problems, but the bulk of the reviews were good so I figured I would give them a shot. It wasn't worth it.

All I can say is WOW! I read all the reviews that people left about this product before buying it and was hesitant about even ordering them, but they were one of only a few that were in my price range at the time ($25 and under). Let me just say that for the price they are awesome! I needed to buy a new set of headphones because the wired ones that came with my phone had a short in them causing only 1 side to work. I have the T-mobile G1 (I feel it's important to list the type of phone that I have because no one else does, and if you are looking at buying a product it helps to know which phones it works well with and which ones it doesn't), and they work great with no problems so far! The sound quality is very good (probably not as good as Sony, or any of the other more expensive brands) for the price and the volume goes up loud enough for my tastes. All of the buttons function properly I have not yet reached the limit of the talk/listen time advertised by the manufacturer of 6 hours. I just listen to these on the bus on the way to work and then home again. The only thing I have noticed is that when I am on an actual phone call the volume is kind of quiet so I have to strain to hear her and that I have to speak up because they were having a bit of trouble hearing me. I have only talked to one person using these so far so that might just be her phone/her voice. I have not had the music change speeds yet as some people have mentioned in their reviews, but every now and again the song will cut out for a split second but then come right back on. Probably just the signal, and so it is not a deal breaker for me. Another potential problem I see is that it only comes with a USB charging cord and not one for the wall. It's not an issue to for me per se, because my phones charging cord will charge these (mini USB), but if you don't have one of those, then you will have no choice but to charge them from your computer only. The blue light on the side is a bit annoying and flashes non stop every second, but it's not too bad because when I am wearing them I can't see the light lol. As far as being ugly, I would say that they look only slightly bulkier than a pair of wired behind the head headphones I have owned in the past, so I don't think they look too awkward. They fit even around my big head, though I have noticed that if I don't adjust them properly, that it pinches the top of my right ear slightly, but I don't blame the headphones, I blame my big head and big ears lol. Sure, there are probably better Bluetooth headphones out there, but for the price (under $25) these work phenomenally!
UPDATE: 11/14/2010 These headphones are still going strong! They have definitely surpassed all my expectations! One thing I do find annoying and I am not sure if it is my phone or the headphones, but when I power on the headphones, my phone does not automatically connect to them. I have to go into the settings in my phone and tell it to connect to them. I don't have to do this with my Bluetooth headset, but it is more of a minor inconvenience and definitely would not deter me from ordering another pair in the future should these ever wear out. I do sometimes notice the speed of the music changes, but it only happens when I am using the volume control on the headphones to turn the music up and when I reach the maximum volume it beeps twice (to let me know it can't go any higher) and the speed slows down but only for about a second, then goes right back to normal speed.

Wow...I wake up and I see this package next to my bed and like hell, I'm sure this wasn't suppose to come until next week for sure. Such a fast delivery, extremely fast.
So far I love it. It has a some good sound qualities, beautiful. A little bulky, but I don't care, love it. I have no problems with this at all although I wish it came with a wall charger, but I'll settle for usb. Great product.

for the price these bluetooth wireless headphones are great. The sound quality is very good and the range is phenomenal I can walk around my house and leave my iPhone on my kitchen table and listen to music throughout my house (2300 SQ ft home-two level). I can do yard work and not have to keep my phone on me.

I bought these to solve two problems - 1.) to listen to and control my iPod Touch while on the treadmill/elliptical at the gym & 2.) to talk on my Blackberry cell phone, hands-free.
Let me start with the negative: I won't be able to use these for phone calls because friends complain about being able to hear themselves talking to me when I have them on (they work fine from my perspective). That said, I am thrilled with this product. As a pair of affordable work-out headphones, these are fantastic. They let me easily control my music even during a hard workout, are comfortable, and the battery life seems good too. The difference between these and standard earbuds is night and day. Just owning these headphones has literally gotten me past the wall a couple of times now simply by helping me skip over a slow track while struggling (which I may not have been able to do by fumbling around with the iPod itself). In short, these don't work as a cell phone headset, but work great as a pair of workout headphones.

I was expecting good value and good price to be able to listen to my music wirelessly on the go or going lately to the gym. I was good up to 33 feet away. I could connect my Iphone Touch and my computer without problem. The control volume and tracks directly from headphones were the finest thing. Handsfree calling for my mobile phone and music pauses during call, you talk through the internal mic, music resumes upon call completion. Wow, liked so much.
Rechargeable battery with USB charger included to be free of AC outlets. |
