The yoga of Beryl Bender Birch, what she calls Power Yoga, is closer to what I remember from earlier incarnation(s) as TOTALITY yoga, but she misses the mind-yoga that its founded-on ( she gets closer to the original Yoga than any other I've seen, though ). Work-through Edwards' The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain for the mind-yoga foundation.

The Toltec Magical Passes, however, are different in that
a) they have some profoundly faulty assumptions ( like personal-survival is the highest one can go: Enlightenment isn't cognitively-possible, in their cognitive-system, because it presupposes that there are different /orders/ of infinity involved in 'death' and 'consciousness' )
b) they apparently are/were blind to being lied-to by their 'allies' ( remember when Carlos was told he /could/ not see the third-kind of being from their world, as a setup that /included/ allowing him to see 'em a minute later. . ? ), while believing the self-same 'allies' when they stated that they /could-not/ lie. . .
c) they recognized re-incarnation ( Carlos being told his entanglement with the BIG cats was possibly from an earlier incarnation ), and that "it's /all/ dreams" ( that from Active Side of Infinity ), yet they /didn't/ recognize that the Tibetan Book of the Dead simply is a description of said dreams. . .
d) they describe/think from the outside-in, missing the /origin/-centric view, e.g. in their description of the concentric-spheres of energy-fibers ( energy-equivalents to nerve-fibers ), they describe the outer-structure, and mention that some fibers go in, yet in Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's "Clear Light of Bliss" he describes the /same/ structure, from the inside-out, better.

I find the Magical Passes somewhat *feral*, but
/when added to mind-first Power Yoga/ . . and Betty Edwards Ph.D's The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, the combination makes a complete, VERY potent development of one's capability & potential.
