This CD is a must have in your cd collection. Can't wait for thier follow up LP.

I heard soul on 1069, greatest station ever, gotta plug them at least, www.wccc.com, and it was an awesome song, and i picked up the CD and it is rockin, this is a great cd and you gotta get it

This CD is phenomenal in it's own right, but when you consider that this is Split Shift's first national release, I can also say incredible. Kyle Small's vocals are soul shattering, tortured and compelling. Kurt Schon lays down a relentless thunder of drums with energy and passion. Bill Brault, Ken Robert and Joe Chisholm weave a complex mix of heart pumping rifts that will have you jumping from your chair. "Soul" truly showcases the individual talents of the band members; it is destined to be a huge hit! Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Split Shift uses watery guitar lines - reminiscent of 10 Years and their ilk - to draw listeners in, then hammers them over the head with Stereomud-esque hard rock riffs. The lead singer is eerily reminiscent of Machine Head's Robb Flynn - whether growling or singing - and the songs are never a disappointment individually. As a whole, what the band lacks is the ability to make a consistently great album. That being written, this is a solid blend of alternative metal elements.

i never heard such thick guitar sounds ever, and the drums are huge! great songs. you can listen to the cd from beginning to end with a smile!

I was extremely upset when this CD was finished....so I looped it back around and listened to it again. I don't think I've ever done that with another CD. Everything is top notch on this CD...especially the vocals. Can't wait for "13", Split Shifts next album, which is not far away, Spring of '06.

the guys in this band are kick butt. i have met all of them and my sisters bf is really good friends with all of them and they kick butt all around so buy there cd!!!!

I have been following Split Shift since their Korn cover here in Springfield Mass, and i tell you, with how hard these guys worked i was elated for them when they got the record deal. It was only disappointing because that means it is harder to get to see them live.The album is phenominal, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good rocking album. I actually first picked up the demo album after my father died and listened to it every day for weeks. To this day, three years later, i can still zone out to Split Shifts music. So support the band and buy the album. You wont regret it.

ok, I think the course lines are not that good, the verses sound better then the course.The reson I gave it two stars,is because they have one good song that his track 11.but I heard the new materal for thire second album,and thire courses are relly getting better.So I have a good feeling, that thire second album is going,to be 100 times better then thire first album.
