When I first came across this book, I thought I had found a new contribution to contextual theology from a Latin American perspective. What I found, however, was a rehash of the same theological indoctrination of Euro-American scholarship. In the case of this book, the positions presented come from the dispensational camp as taught by Lewis Sperry Chafer. In fact, the author cites Sperry Chafer quite frequently throughout the work. I was disappointed in seeing the absence of Gustavo Gutierrez, Jon Sobrino, and Oscar Alfuro Romero - to name but a few well known Latin American theologians - in the body of this book. In the end, the book does not present theology from a Latin American perspective; it only repeats theology from the Euro-American perspective.

It seems unbelievable, but the book does not contain a bibliography of referenced works, despite the fact that he cites many authors throughout. I haven't read the book.
Increíblmente, el libro no cuenta con una bibliografía de obras citadas, aunque sí está llena de citas. El libro no he leído.

This book is rather revolutionary. It was the first book written on systematic theology from a Latin American view point, which is refreshing. The reader, if Hispanic, can identify with it and it's incredibly informative. The theology is sound and it's a very good resource
