Song was a generous word here; this is basically an instrumental; the only word in the song is at the end when they all say, "tequila." It's short, around 2 minutes, and it has a great beat. Unlike most rock and roll (I really wouldn't call this rock and roll, but whatever), it doesn't emphasize guitars or vocals. Still, if you lived the era, it was quite a catchy tune, and even today I still occasionally enjoy it.

Time classic. I needed it for a Pee-Wee Herman improve and it worked perfectly.

Who can listen to this and not think of Pee Wee Herman? One of the classic sax riffs in Rock and Roll.

What a unique and awesome classic. As a kid born 25 years after this came out, I think I discovered it in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. It's like surf rock meets early rock n roll meets R&B. Not sure if this version was remastered but sounds great on my home theater. How did they get that wailing sax sound? So awesome. Obviously, it reached #1 on charts as an instrumental! For fans of the song, check out jazz legend David Sanborn's version from 2003; an incredible reworking with extended improv.
