Teresa Weatherspoon's Basketball for Girls is not only the best instructional book for basketball that I have read, but it also gives girls an inside look at one of today's positive role models, which has been sorely needed.

Teresa's Book is good for giving instructions for those who dont know that much about basketball and she gives you stories to relate to.

What a fun book! "Spoon" has always been an inspiration (so what if I don't have her jump shot). The skills she teaches in the book are wonderfully presented but what makes this book special is her inspirational comments about teamwork, success and family. It's great to have a book just for girls, and with the success of the WNBA it's about time! Even if you are not into playing basketball, it makes great reading for someone who just wants to watch and appreciate the game. And this 30+ year old girl loved it! I can't wait to buy copies for my nieces.

Weatherspoon is one of the most admirable players to come down the pike since the days of Bill Bradley. The book -- with lots of illustrative pictures -- is aimed at teaching younger players, but has good fundamental advice for players of any age (or gender, for that matter). What makes it fascinating are the set-off pieces by Weatherspoon that give an insight into her character. If you like her now, you'll come away liking her even more.

This great book written by one of the WNBA's top athletes is sure to improve anyone's game- male or female! Think you're destined for WNBA fame? Here's the ticket girls! (and a little hard work of course!)

This is by far the best basketball instruction book I have seen to this date. Complete with wonderful and touching anectdotes about her life, Teresa Weatherspoon's book could help anyone learn the ways of the game. The book is fun to read, hard to put down, and has become an immediate resource for me when either playing or watching a game. Included you will find helpful workout hints, as well as the specific workout routine of the New York Liberty players. This book will definitely encourage kids to believe in themselves and to go for what they want. Forget the obstacles and believe. Probably the best instructional book on the market today. Thanks for writing it Spoon. ;-)

Based on all the great buzz about Teresa Weatherspoon's Basketball for Girls, I purchased it for a grade-school basketball team player. Not only did she love it, she shared it with family and friends. As she was reading the book, she reported lots of interesting facts and observations that stimulated her imagination. So, not only did she learn from the book, it gave her further interest in reading more about the subject, and reading in general.

For someone learning about this sport, I highly recommend Teresa Weatherspoon's Basketball for Girls!

I am one of your BIGGEST fans and i just wanted to say that this book not only helps with the fundamentals of basketball, but it gives us an inside look at the person we really want to know......YOU! This book is great for women of all ages and i can't wait to show this to the rest of my teammates so that they can not only learn some great tips on life and basketball, but so they can also come to know and love the player that i admire so much.....Teresa Weatherspoon!!!!

If you are an experienced coach or player, pass on this one. It will give you close to nothing. If you are a beginner, there is some value but still there are better options out there. Can't recommend.
