Mr Nash actually put out this album last year -- though some may have called it a mixtape. I think mixtapes are basically albums that artists release for free, but you say tomato, I say tomato. Anyway, many fans enjoyed it so much that he released it as an official album and included a few new tracks. This is standard Dream music, and if you are a fan of him you will not be disappointed. What I will say is that I hope this was just put out to hold fans over, for many people would like to hear entirely new material from him. But again if you are a fan you will not be disappointed.

Can't believe that I didn't hear this free demo tracks last year!
I'm a a huge fan of the dream, and I know that this isn't like the best album compared to his other works.
But if you're a big fan, then you'd already know- this albums still very clearly shows his unique color and that's very very attractive.
1977 is my favorite track and this track is one of his many best unique colors.
I loved him but I love him even more after this album.
I look forward to his new album soon!

So most The-Dream Fans would have heard of this 1977 album release for free from last year, and not surprisingly the album was a very successful album especially for a free release album.
As far as the album is concerned, I loved the album from its entirety. From beginning to end the album gave plenty of memorable favorites and it wont disappoint any fan Dream Fans. One thing about this album is that when comparing Terius Nash: 1977 with any of the Love Albums he had been releasing is that this one goes a little rougher on the lyrics, almost as if he is angry in the way lyrics were written and showing a rougher/tougher side of Terius. This album feels like it gives you a different perspective of The-Dream, but never leaving the Love formula too far behind.

Favorites: Ghetto, Long Gone, Used to be

Now, for the re-release on this album, some fans might be disappointed that the new installment of the Love series has yet to come out and angry that instead the re-release of an already free album has been put out. From what I have read from the past year is that there have been issues between him and DefJam Recording. which led to delays and DefJam not happy with him releasing a free album and re-releasing it then for a profit.

I downloaded this album when it was released free last year and at first I was a little bit turned off by how much darker some of the material is compared to his hit songs. But after checking it out with the right frame of mind (not in a party mood), the songs really started to sink in. Now I can't get enough of this album! Its definitely along the lines of The Weeknd and Tinashe, dark, electro-edged, new r&b that does not pull its punches. I'm not sure why he didn't release this officially under his artist name in the first place, but I think its good that he finally has because everyone should check this album out.

First and foremost I took the cheep way out due to the ratings I read on here so I brought a used one, full of scratches, and I fell in love with all the ones I was able to hear to the point that I am gonna by a new one so I can enjoy the project in full effect. He had to do what a man had to do and he did it, I am a fan for life......

From an artist who's vocals have been more than mediocre, I expected a more adult and greater visuals in lyrics. You won't be let down for background music, but to sit down & have a conversation with a mature intimate person, it will make you look like you forgot the standards of ambiance and music law....
