5.0 out of 5 stars super clear reception
This Terk add on, was purchased for the TV that I have on the enclosed front porch of my home. I use one in my office with with master control off of the bedroom (with full cable access). It work great. Whatever the tv in the bedroom is tuned to, the tv's that the add on's are connected to also show.
And I have to tell you, the picture is very clear, and the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Works Fine BUT
These add on receiver units allow placing a second TV anywhere in the home without running coax cable. This is a great idea but why they selected the same frequency as most microwave oven magnetron tubes is beyond me. When the wife runs the microwave, you lose the signal and the TV makes the most awful noise. Even with that I would recommend for placing a TV set where...

5.0 out of 5 stars super clear reception, September 21, 2005
This review is from: Terk LF30-RX Add-on Receiver for Terk LF-30S TV Anywhere Wireless A/V System (Electronics)
This Terk add on, was purchased for the TV that I have on the enclosed front porch of my home. I use one in my office with with master control off of the bedroom (with full cable access). It work great. Whatever the tv in the bedroom is tuned to, the tv's that the add on's are connected to also show.
And I have to tell you, the picture is very clear, and the sound is great. One concern. If you have a 4.5mz cordless phone, you will have to pull the plug while using this system. Or you will have a line across the screen. I have a line phone so it doesn't matter, but take it into account when ordering. In all though, I highly recommend this item.

4.0 out of 5 stars Terk remote TV, August 9, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Terk LF30-RX Add-on Receiver for Terk LF-30S TV Anywhere Wireless A/V System (Electronics)
Product works as advertised but reception at the remote TV is definitely affected by a 2.4ghz cordless phone. If the phone is in operation, the remote TV's sound has to be muted and the picture becomes full of static. I ordered a new 5.6ghz phone from AT&T only to discover it broadcasts from handset to base at 5.6ghz, but from base to the handset at 2.4ghz! Be careful if you order a new cordless phone! Other than the phone interference problem, the TERK works well. It even works my DVR remotely. and the buttons on the DVR remote control work perfectly when pointed at the TERK receiver.

4.0 out of 5 stars not perfect, but works, November 15, 2008

This is the third receiver I am using in my home and for the most part, it works as advertised. Placement and aiming is the key to good performance as some computers, wireless networks and phones will cause interference. Microwaves will totally destroy the signal while in use. I couldn't get the remote extender to work properly however. But for my use that's no big deal. For my application, it's a lot easier using one of these receivers than running wire under my house.

2.0 out of 5 stars Had to return this to Amazon, January 16, 2011

This review is from: Terk LF30-RX Add-on Receiver for Terk LF-30S TV Anywhere Wireless A/V System (Electronics)
I actually had to call up the maker of this product for assistant. The first rep was not willing to help so I called back and got another rep to help. Then I had to return the item because my modem and my cordless phones were interfering with the signal. The rep said it is often the case with this item. So it was a no brainer. The phone and modem stayes and the procuct was sent back.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, March 8, 2007
This review is from: Terk LF30-RX Add-on Receiver for Terk LF-30S TV Anywhere Wireless A/V System (Electronics)
I purchased the Terk LF-30S Leapfrog Wireless A/V System to "rebroadcast" audio/video from my satellite receiver and DVD player in the living room throughout the house. I picked up two additional receivers - and now I can watch (and control) satellite TV from the kitchen, living room, bedroom and even the hot tub!

This thing gets a lot of interference. Some days none of the four selectable frequencies is usable. I also have to unplug my cordless phone every time I use it also.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great!, February 23, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Terk LF30-RX Add-on Receiver for Terk LF-30S TV Anywhere Wireless A/V System (Electronics)
I've got my base station in the "TV" room downstairs, one receiver in my living room around the corner about 15 yards away, and another receiver upstairs about 25 yards away, through a couple of concrete walls. The one upstairs needs to be positioned carefully, but then it works perfectly with as much clarity as the "source" TV downstairs. Remote works fine, too, though I had to tape mine to the front of the cable box.

I did have to adjust the frequency on my wireless Internet as the two devices were interfering with each other. But that was easily done.

Very satisfied!

1.0 out of 5 stars It Didn't Work, September 8, 2008
This review is from: Terk LF30-RX Add-on Receiver for Terk LF-30S TV Anywhere Wireless A/V System (Electronics)
I purchased the the Terk LF30-RX add-on to work with a Terk LF-30S System I purchased about 5 years ago. On the surface the two are supposed to be compatible as they opperate on the same frequencies. How ever I was never able to get the either of two add-on units, purchased from different retailers, to communicate with my older system. I spent a half an hour with a Terk technician with no resolution. I would not recommend getting this unit to work with an older base unit.

1.0 out of 5 stars New version is NOT compatible, although model # is the same, June 8, 2008
This review is from: Terk LF30-RX Add-on Receiver for Terk LF-30S TV Anywhere Wireless A/V System (Electronics)
What I got doesn't look like the picture on the product page and it didn't work with my Leapfrog system when I tried it. I returned it for replacement, thinking it was defective. However, the replacement Amazon sent me doesn't work either and I'm returning it, too. The new version just isn't compatible; not only doesn't it look like the old one, neither the unit nor the box mentions "Leapfrog" anymore and the receiver doesn't work with the Leapfrog system. Even though the model numbers are the same, something is different! When I looked this morning someone else just reported the same issue, so it's not just my setup.
