What can I say? It replaced a very old DTV LNB (not sure who the manufacturer was) whose plastic cap cracked due to weather and material wearout which allowed rainwater into the guts. But, our local "shack" wanted $55 (plus tax) for this item. Ha ha. Amazon here I come.

Sun and temperature extremes caused the white plastic cap to crack on my original LNB that was installed 9 years ago on an 18" satellite dish. I was getting sporadic loss of signal for a couple weeks, and it eventually went to complete signal loss. Rainwater had dripped into the area where the circuit board is located and fried it. Even though this is a different brand it fits perfectly in the bracket. My old OEM LNB was a single, this dual works the same, you just hook it up to one fitting. This is less expensive than buying a used LNB on eBay.NOTE: This works with the 18" legacy (original) 18" dish, I'm not sure if this would work for Dish 500 or newer set-ups. It should be OK with older DirecTV units also as they are interchangeable.
