1st great metal album of 06!,
By
This review is from: Termination Bliss (Audio CD)
OK. This is the first great heavy metal CD with a 2006 Copyrite date! The DEATHSTARS' sophmore effort "Termination Bliss" combines the approach of Marilyn's "Holy Wood" (2000) with Rammstein's "Reise Reise" (04) with hints of Dimmu Borgor tossed in. No filler tracks here but the standouts include "cyanide", "greatest fight on earth" and the title track.
For their 03 debut "Synthetic Generation" (also worth buying) they were Industrial Goth Metal. For their second, however, the Industrial elements have been replaced by a more accessible form of Symphonic Black Metal. There are other great metal CDs schedualed for release this year: Queensryche, Celtic Frost, AC/DC, Slayer, hopefully Type O Negative... But the DEATHSTARS got here first! Grab this!

Deathstars have done it again. They've created another masterpiece. Their first album "Synthetic Generation" rocked. Also try the album "Unsaved" by Deadstar Assembly.

Cleaned Up the Sound,
This review is from: Termination Bliss (Audio CD)
Best examples is "Motherzone," but overall, the album sounds more professionally constructed than the debut, and that's fine, because the core elements of the band - tongue-in-cheek lyrics, industrial effects, in-your-face guitars and shout-along vocals - are still there.

Deathstars' CD "Termination Bliss" is one of the best Goth music I have heard. I wish the band "Deathstars" a long and successful career.

The Album Saved Rock For Me,

BUY THIS ALBUM!!! You will listen to it over and over and over. It single handedly saved Rock music for me. I was frustrated with a metal that had long ago died a painful death in America. Through this band I discovered an amazing Metal scene thriving in Europe. Whiplasher is like no front man I have ever heard and this band is like no other in the world. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

Great Band, Good album,

The guys are a very cool band, and I was really looking forward to picking this album up, and it's a good one but not as good as was hoped. The first album IMO is the better of the two, it's heavier/rockier/faster and the songs catchier. This one is a bit more mellow with sadly less guitar and more keyboards. The one notable exception being blitzkrieg which is a killer song, nice and heavy, my other fav being Cyanide. With the addition of another Guitarist wunder glam kid Cat Casino, it will be intersting to see how their next album shapes up. Still gets this disc it's good and better than any mopey emo crap!! Could be the second coming of industrial metal.

Deathstars back with more of the greatness you knew..,

This band is great industrial electronic metal. The singers voice is as incredible and as right on as the first album. The guitars are just as moving and driving. I think that this just as good as their first album, but this is a band that i can't pick which album i like better, i like both of them just as much. It's not like the tried something, they just expanded their collection of songs and they did it well. This is a must buy, if you do not own their album, Synthetic generation, get that as well.

The first Deathstars Cd was ok.Some tracks were exciting but not all the tracks.
This new release is so good.... How to describe? Rammstein but with a death metal voice, more good synths in the background and scratching guitars that burn everything on their way in foreground. All this elements together make a very strong Cd with no weak part. So many exciting songs with great melody. I ve seen the band live 2 times.First time at z7 pratteln and second time in Paris. In Paris,DS was supporting craddle of fifth.....for me,DS was so great compared to noisy craddle....maybe thats because I am not a big fan of extrem metal...

DEATHSTARS ROCK ME,

This band is amazing. They sound like Ramms+ein, but they sing in English. Dark, evil lyrics with a little techno sound. A lot of people who dont know of these guys think I'm listening to Ramms+ein until I tell them its not them. This band is better. Their 2 cd's dont get old ever. I've had em for quite awhile now, and I still listen to them quite often. You cant go wrong with Deathstars. Buy em both
