When a brand new game simply refuses to install you know someone screwed up. When this is caused, yet again, by its overzealous DRM scheme, the person who screwed up was probably sitting in a board room rather than writing code in front of a screen.

Now a Retail Recall is in place by EVOLVED GAMES: online orders will be delayed and retail sales (eventually) replaced. It is the decent thing to do but this horse got shot in the foot at the gate. Is anyone still betting on it?
More importantly, we still don't know whether the replacements will fare any better(!). I returned my copy for store credit (a compromise for the unwrapped box and the fact that the manager was yet unaware of the recall).

Yeah, pretty much terminated...

Aside from the DRM scheme and the botched DVD burns from the distributor this game felt rushed.

Grin's Diesel Game Engine actually made the post apocalyptic Los Angeles look fairly good. Too bad the enemies were few and the play repetitive. There was so much potential to make this game a gem but alas it felt as if the developers rushed this title to market in order to have a release date prior to the movie opening.

There were brief levels where vehicular play came into focus and that actually did have a fun feel to it but those missions were too few and far between. The game itself was played out in less than four hours so to pay the full price is robbery.

All in all skip this title and hopefully if and when Grin releases an SDK you can make your own Terminator Salvation game that can be fun.

The disk I received was sealed, in new condition, and shipped directly from Amazon, but was apparently the defective version that as initially released by the manufacturer in 2009 would not install. Received the same error attempting to install on five different PCs with 4 different operating systems (XP, Vista, Win 7 32-bit, Win 7 64-bit), diverse CPUs (up to an Intel Core i7), and different graphics cards (up to an EVGA GTX 560 Ti). Although Amazon provided a refund, it does not compensate for the frustration and hours of wasted time. Recommend not purchasing this game until/unless Amazon can ensure that the disks they ship are not from the defective release.

The game was fun and the graphics good.

The bad news is that the games installshield is utterly broken so unless you have medium level modding skills you can forget playing this game at all period.

I had to create a complete game directory and use installshield cabinet reveiwer to extract the game and organize it MANUALLY.

The game also does not have multiplayer and its video options only include mouse sensitivity and resolution and nothing else. So no tweaking if your computer is slow.

For the price of this game, and for amount of gameplay you get... it's a waste

It's way too short [..] and they wonder why people pirate games all the time.

I am normally against people downloading illegal copies, but this is one game I support that on. The manufactures deserve to get their product stolen, since they tried to rip everyone off.

This game for the PC has a manufacture defect for all of them...so it didn't even load onto my computer. After hours of research, I found a 1 800 number for the manufacture and called. I was told I would get a new game in the mail. That was a month ago and I have not received anything yet. It was a gift for my sons birthday and he still checks the mail everyday. I hope it arrives so that it doesn't disappoint him and I am not out the $[...]!!!!

Though I liked the movie, I didnt think this game was all that great. It was way too easy and it was in a way silly. When you get into gun fights with the terminators, they only stand at certain places and are limited to where they can go. There was a few cool scenes in this game but once i beat it, i thought to myself, "thats it"?

this game dident work on my system and it said it did and was saposed to. im not shure if its my computer or the game.

Don't be fooled by reviews, usually bad games turn out to be good and good games turn out to suck. This is by no means a super great game, its mediocre at best, but hey whats wrong with that. Another note with the DRM, or securom stuff is if you download it digitally from DIRECT2DRIVE, or Gamersgate, it will not install onto your computer, all you do is simply put in your security code from the site and thats it, no extra crap on your hard drive. Digital downloads have made it so much easier to access and enjoy PC games, and i love it. This game while very loosely based on the movie isnt half bad, to short yes, but there is some enjoyment to be found. Its actually almost to easy, so if you do play on hard it not impossible, the graphics look great, they actually look 100 times better than the horrid cut scenes, which look like they come from regular xbox or PS2. During cut scenes none of the characters mouths move, or if they do move they don't go in sync with the audio, which i could care less because i just wanted to play a next gen terminator game. Shooting is spot on, almost to spot on because you dont even have to aim that close to take out a target, yes you can actually be off and hit it. Yes this game does feel rushed because there is no real story, no extra items, no secrets, no puzzles, and its very short. I got mine for 10 dollars off DIRECT2DRIVE, it was a one day offer so i jumped on it. Would i pay more, heck no, but it was fun while it lasted, the covers system is like every other game, gears, uncharted, resident evil, among many others, so nothings new with that either. So why three stars, well because i've play much worse that were suppose to be better, or bad, and this isnt nearly as bad as people say. So if your lucky enough to get it for cheap take it for a spin, its good fun while it lasts. If you ever played Infernal, which i liked and most hated, you'll like this game a lot.

This game is horrible this game should have been ilegal to sell. The combat is just stiff and weird. This game is after one of the greatest series of movies and what do they do the ****ed it up.
