This review is from: Terminatrix (DVD)
This is a soft core parody of the Terminator series that works well on several levels. The hook is that a pleasure robot was sent into the past to make a rebel's father impotent, there by causing her never to exist.
The portrayal of the rebel sent back to counteract the Terminatrix is done with a sense of humor. She is largely ineffective and finds her main problem being a fashion crisis that must be remedied before she can actually be effective. She winds up on the wrong side of the law as she has to constantly mug stray women for their clothing, and at times her choices cause far more problems than they solve.
The acting is as good as can be expected in a feature with this sort of limited budget. The facial expression are hysterical and not overblown, the English language translation seems right on the mark.
This DVD far exceeded my expectations. There are moments of extreme "South Park" style humor that really can't be mentioned in a public forum, but which shame their US counterparts by showing that this sort of feature can be done well.
