I discovered Terra in Bocca by way of a review on a Prog Rock site. Even though I can't understand a word of Italian--except "vendetta" and one or two others--I found it a rock-solid joy to hear from start to finish! It has all the high energy of the best rock-opera; sort of like Queen meets Jesus Christ Superstar. The Sicilian "Golden Girl" Sophia would love this one!

So, how does one describe an album whose vocals and lyrics can't understood unless the listener knows some Italian? It's not really important if you like great music. 'Poesia di un delitto' is an album that reaches for greatness and sometimes finds it through songs such "Avanti" with the way the mellotron, piano and accoustic guitar all synch and the dark mood changes of "Avanti Tutto" which includes the only English track, such as is, on the album. Raw, meandering, sometimes challenging on the attention and understanding, this album is above all earnest-and this is what wins the day for I Giganti, especially on "tanto va la gatta" where voice and piano literally scream as if some life were depending on their delivery and finish. This is an album worth listening to and give a chance.
