Terradellas finally being recognized as a genius,

Terradellas is one of the most influential composers of the middle decades of the 18th century. This is the third recording of his music to be released during the past couple of years. Hopefully now he will receive the attention he deserves as one of the creators of the Classical style. There are two other known operas surviving and a great deal of religious music which deserves recording. Hopefully, these recordings will soon be available.

The new disc of a comparatively unknown Spanish composer is a real triumph. Italian soprano Maria Grazia Schiavo has a bright, clear voice and awesome technical skills, ideal for this type of music. The music is highly enjoyable, not just for the performance, but for the music itself. If you like Baroque music, this disc will make for easy listening!
