4.0 out of 5 stars living in the terrarium world, August 15, 2011
This review is from: Terrariums: the world of nature under glass (Unbound)
for people who do not know what a terrarium is,it is growing plants under glass.

the author of this book, glenn lewis has written a lovely, sensitive description

of the terrarium world.

this book starts by describing the history of this type of plant growing, how to

create a terraium,types of terrariums,plant selection,container choices(must be

clear glass),props for terrariums(like wood or rocks),special plants like ferns,

moss,or succulents. there are two pages(64+65) devoted to,"how to plant a bottle

garden",what wild plants to use,carnivorous plants,children and terrariums(teaching

them how),how to make one as a gift, pages 90 to 93 shows delightful scenic terrariums with tiny figurines like, horses or people. the last section of the book

is photographing your terrarium and bromeliads for large terrariums. also check

out the beautiful color photos by the author. this book is fully illustrated with color photos.
