5.0 out of 5 stars Another Superb Short Story by Ben Woodard November 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
A Terrible Price is a wonderful short story written by Ben Woodard. It is the sequel to The Boy Who Flew With Eagles. The story is told by an eagle who reunites with an Indian boy. Both recognize each other even though they are now adults.

The eagle recounts the past and how the boy named Naa'ki came to save the existence of the animals that lived in the area. Through that occurrence the young man carries the burden of being crippled though his act of integrity. The eagle searches out an old acquaintance to come to the aid of his friend to help him in his quest to be a hunter.

Like all of Ben's short stories, the story is well written and is enjoyable to read. He paints the story like a picture in the mind of the reader and soon you feel that you too are among the characters in the book as a friend. The story ends sooner than the reader wants adding mysteries of unanswered questions that leads to the search for its sequel to discover more about the past and future of the characters in this book.
