Biography

New Universal Motown band Terrible Things may be hailed as rock all-stars – with ex-Taking Back Sunday vet Fred Mascherino, Coheed and Cambria alumnus Josh Eppard, and Hot Rod Circuit guitarist Andy Jackson forming the powerful triumvirate.
Appetites whetted for the splintering, pointed rock we’ve come to expect from each member of the reserved trio should prepare for added twists to their own… Read more in Amazon's Terrible Things Store

Editorial Reviews

Combine a bit of Taking Back Sunday (Fred Mascherino), a pinch of Coheed and Cambria (Josh Eppard) and a dash of Hot Rod Circuit (Andy Jackson) and what do you get? TERRIBLE THINGS, the new Universal Motown all-star rock group that has already garnered over 1 million plays on MySpace...and that's just off a demo!

As out of the proverbial ashes of their former groups, the TERRIBLE THINGS debut rises from the conceptual theme born near Fred's hometown of Coatesville, PA where a rash of arson fires terrorized the town, making an impression that surprisingly affects him to this day. "I was just struck by the helplessness," says Fred. "Growing up there I remember the decay, but this was such a mindless thing, symptomatic maybe, of pure hopelessness."

Ironically, or perhaps serendipitously, the TERRIBLE THINGS debut album was recorded in fellow past-due steel-town Birmingham, AL with producer Jason Elgin. "To record down there meant no distractions," says Fred. "We were totally engaged in the music and (able to) get into a different head space."

5.0 out of 5 stars Great things from Terrible Things, August 31, 2010
This review is from: Terrible Things (MP3 Download)
This albums is well-put together and full of amazing instrumentals and thoughtful, easy connectable lyrics. Terrible Things is a band full of a lot of talent and the nicest guys out there. I saw them in May of 2010 as an opening band and have been eagerly waiting for this album ever since. The moment I was able to, I downloaded it because the songs are just that great. You'll find yourself quickly falling in love with songs like Revolution, Conspiracy, Hills of Birmingham, and Wrap Me Up. The whole album is great, but those are my personal favorites.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Rock album...and great guys as well..., August 31, 2010
This review is from: Terrible Things (MP3 Download)
I saw these guys play 4 of these songs acoustic style and they were great! The album has a variety of sounds and they pulled them all off beautifully. At this price, this CD should be a no-brainer. There are great rockers like Revolution and Conspiracy and some great ballads like Been Here Before and the bonus track (which Fred performed for us last night). They are great musicians and very nice guys to boot! So pick up the CD and if you get the chance go out and meet them on their fall tour!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Album of 2010, August 31, 2010
This review is from: Terrible Things (Audio CD)
Terrible things, is a great album by a great band. If you are in the mood for a rock album that is real and rocking at the same time, this is for you. Authentic in its emotions, fred, josh and andy create a rock album, that is the best album of 2010. Viva Terrible Things
