poems by a powerful modern poet,

This review is from: The Terrible Wilderness of Self (Paperback)
Another wonderful collection of poems by Cirino. It is well worth the time and effort to get to know and appreciate this poet. My favorites include the lyrical poems, especially the poem "The Phoenix: Sunday Morning Before Solstice". Cirino's poetry is powerful, able to make you cry, laugh, and think. He has been for some time and remains a poet worth discovery. -Kenn Mitchell

This review is from: The Terrible Wilderness of Self (Paperback)
This book is a masterpiece of lyric poetry! Although Cirino is one of the better nature-based poets, he is also one of the more gutsy poets alive -- and gutsy in the way of challenging your mind to dealve deeply into the image and all that it means. His work reminds me of the spirit and intellegience of Lorca. Full of duende! This book is Cirino at his best.
