I am rather picky when it comes to choosing a digital camera and even pickier when it comes to choosing a case to protect said camera. I want to protect my investment with a product that is reliable and readily provides superior protection for said investment. The BOXIE camera case is that product and my preferred choice for my Canon PowerShot SD400.

It comes with a dutiful zipper that encloses the hardened case for added protection that I found to be comprised of very sturdy materials. The zipper also doesn't jam easily and handles the grooves of the case with excellent precision. I was also rather impressed with the internal pouch that comes with the case. It is perfect for holding flash drives or additional memory cards for your camera.

The stated feature of the case is that it only open up to a 45 degree angle for the purpose of preventing your camera from accidently slipping out. This feature is exactly as the developer describes for that was one selling point that caught my attention. I'd really prefer to not have my camera slip out accidentally and this case provides the perfect feature for that preventative measure.

Also, the interior is a very soft material that will not scratch your camera in any way shape or form - even when removing the camera from the pouch! I have really enjoyed this feature as well.

I would strongly recommend the BOXIE camera case for your Digital Camera. It is highly reliable, quite affordable, and you will receive far more than you bargained for. Great buy!

This case is perfect for my digital camera. It's not only stylish and colorful (there are great color choices, i bought two for different occasions)but what make me like this product a lot are: 1)it's waterproof with tough case which i could take my camera in summer activities. 2)The inner part of the case is soft and does not hurt my camera. 3)the design of the solid zipper makes this case much stronger than the one i had which was torn easily. 4) This case has different options to carry my camera around. Perfect for my pocket or i could use the ring to hook on my belt. I would highly recommend this excellent stylish case to protect the camera!

This is a great camera case. I use it for a Nikon Coolpix and it is perfect. The hard case is nice because it protects and it is small enough that it easily fits in my bag. The attached carabiner is nice too for hanging it on my purse or laptop bag. All in all - a great buy!

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice design but flawed!, December 19, 2008
This review is from: BOXIE Terrific Teal Camera Case for Canon PowerShot, Sony CyberShot, Nikon Coolpix, Pentax Optio, Casio Exilim, Olympus Stylus and Panasonic Lumix (Electronics)
Make sure to fully inspect your product if you choose to purchase this case. I had done research for a case to house our new point and shoot Canon SD880IS and this fit the bill right on. I had chosen this case in good faith due to the other high star reviews. It fit our camera quite nicely, there was a little extra room in height. The extra room is about 1/2 inch of space which was perfect for inserting the rest of the wrist strap in before zipping up. The color was a big plus from the usual drab black/gray that you would usually see. My wife and I wanted something with high visibility so we could easily find it when say it's stuffed in a backpack with other things. The case is quite nice BUT!!

Upon trying to unzip the case one of the zippers got caught around the top corner. When I tried to dislodge it the orange handle/pull tore right off. The actual pull tag is made of some nice rubber possibly silicone material. It is attached to the zipper by a small and thin looking keyring which cut right through the rubber when too much force was used. After dislodging the zipper part I inspected both pieces and found out why the zipper had gotten caught on the corner. One of the teeth were so loose I could wiggle it off with a finger. I was very dissapointed by it breaking on the first try to open this case. I don't think I would recommend this product to anyone until those problems are fixed and some better quality control is used.

Pros:
-Hard shell case
-Easy access
-Storage for extra sd card
-High visibility in color

Cons:
-zipper pulls (read above)
-zipper

Length:: 1:56 Mins

I like this case so much, I decided to do my first video review on it. It's small but still fits my camera, as you will see, and it protects my camera very well with daily use. I can fit it into my medium-sized purse with ease. The terrific teal color is just as pictured above, and I have had no issues with the zipper. Great little product that's sturdy, stylish and easy on your wallet. I highly recommend it!

I bought the BOXIE Terrific Teal Camera Case <http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012S3V96/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title> for travelling with a Nikon Coolpix s3000, and would give it a 4.5 if I could. I like the sturdiness - I wanted something that would protect the camera fairly well, and I think this will (hard plastic under a thick fabric). It's also waterproof, which adds to the protection. The color is more muted than it looks on my computer, but it's still nice, and goes fine with the turquoise Coolpix. The zipper seems very sturdy, like the case, and like most zippers on camera cases, is a little resistant around the corners (but not bad, and it's heavy plastic, which I suspect will wear better than metal). The ring with the carabiner looks like it's solidly sewn on to the body (two rows). The inside is fairly roomy, except for the pocket, which will only hold one memory card or battery, I suspect. The "open jaw" design makes it easy to plunk the camera in once it's unzippered (and to get it out), while still providing some protection against it falling out (personally, I would be happier with velcro straps, however). There is plenty of room for a cleaning cloth, a second battery, if you don't need it sequestered away in the tiny pouch, and/or paper money (you wouldn't want coins rattling around with the camera). The sturdiness comes with a price - it's a bit large for a small purse (for that, I bought a little neoprene nothing that holds only the camera). If I were to design the ideal case, it would have an attached wrist strap (carabiners make me nervous, having seen numerous keys get accidentally removed when it is inadvertently pressed), an optional neck strap, and a case that opens fully, with velcro straps holding the camera in, and a larger mesh bag for memory cards and batteries, and maybe for optional things like neck straps. This is close enough, however, for me to cheerfully take it on a long trip and not worry about my own tendency to be a little rough on such things as cameras. Overall, it looks like a high quality item, made to protect and last, with a flair.

2.0 out of 5 stars not what it seems, November 29, 2009

I bought this case for my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5, only to find out that it doesn't fit. It's listed as being compatible, but that photo of the Panasonic Lumix next to the case is misleading because even though its the same length the camera is too thick to allow the zipper to close. So yes, it fits inside the case (barely), but what good does it do if you can't close the zipper??!!

Needless to say, I returned this case and went to my local Wal-Mart and bought a LowePro case, which I'm much happier with.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful & Sturdy Case, but not very padded, April 8, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: BOXIE Terrific Teal Camera Case for Canon PowerShot, Sony CyberShot, Nikon Coolpix, Pentax Optio, Casio Exilim, Olympus Stylus and Panasonic Lumix (Electronics)
When I opened the box and saw orange cloth, I thought Amazon had sent the wrong color. Actually, this case is so quality that even the case comes in a case! Just a little draw-string bag that says TOT-NYC, but still a nice touch.

While the color is very pretty, it's a little more muted than the pictures on Amazon show. I know some people have seen the bright red thinking it will be almost pink, when really it's just red. The pictures are a little too saturated/light to be accurate.

The case is sturdy and water-proof, and I'm not at all concerned about the soft interior scratching the camera. However, the soft felt isn't as thick as I thought it would be, and I would still be a little worried about dropping the camera on a hard surface. I think the shock would be absorbed mostly by the hard case, as it is slightly flexible, but with a bit of foam lining, this would be the perfect case.

Oh, and apparently the materials are environmentally friendly and 20% of the profits go to Polar Bears International. So this case is good for polar bears as well as for your camera!

This product fits my Lumix DMC-LZ8 perfectly. I wanted something that would protect my camera if it was in my purse or if I was out and about. That is just what I got, and in a fun color too!
