I first got this book for my son two years ago and we've been giving it as a gift ever since. The rhyming text and colorful pictures hold their attention and the special train info in the back is cute also. My son loves the other 3 titles in the series: Dazzling Diggers, Roaring Rockets, and Flashing Fire Engines. Great price for a hardcover book!

A must-have for the young train enthusiast, this book's cadence is charming and infectious. Its pictures are simple yet engaging. I have just ordered a replacement copy for my 3-year-old, who is heartbroken at the loss of his original copy.

Both of my children (girl and boy) have loved this book. It is clever and rhythmic making it fun to read (I still don't mind reading it after 4 years). I would highly recommend it especially for toddlers.

We have the whole series now and my 5year old & 3 year old love all of these books. The illustrations are great and the text has been written in a way that enables my 5 year old to practise his reading skills. The last page with the glossary of vehicle parts gets their creative juices flowing on how it works...just be ready with further explanation as to the function of these parts...or ask Daddy!

My 2 year old loves this book!! He loves trains and this book is so catchy and cute that my son has parts memorized. He can almost read it back to me! This book also helped my son understand some different features like the signals, switches, tunnels, coach cars, and different features that make up a train. If your child loves trains, then this will further your young ones knowledge to some extent.

I prefer this book more than my son because of the lyrical quality of the text. My son seems to prefer the author's books about diggers and tractors. I would recommend this book for children aged 1 and up for read aloud, lap time.

We have dozens and dozens of children's books, but there are some that we love so much that we come back to again and again. This is sufficiently short, with great illustrations and rhymes. It's also educational.

My 2 /12 yr old really enjoys this book. it keeps his attention and teaches him a lot about different types of trains. the pictures are cute and colorful. totally recommend this book.

My almost 3-year-old adores this book. Above-average writing, great pictures, and enough pages to keep him occupied for five minutes. A good buy.

My son wanted some new books and told me what he wanted them to be about. He will be Three soon. I went on Amazon and immediately found what we are looking.
