This review is from: Voices of the Oregon Territory Conversations With Bullwhackers,Muleskinners,Pioneers, Prospectors, 49Ers, Indian Fighters (Lockley Files) (Paperback)
As indicated by the title, this book has great stories! Stories in this book are compiled interviews of a reporter that worked for the Oregon Journal back in the 1920s and 1930s. The interviewees ARE the pioneers that came over the Oregon Trail. It's like that person is telling you the story directly. It's great bedtime reading because each story may be a paragraph or maybe a few pages. This is the real thing! It's how life was really like back in the mid-1800s to early 1900s told from the person who lived it.
