A Terrific Story .. Well Crafted, February 20, 2008
Territory by Judy Nunn contains two stories which weave their way along & eventually collide - and what a collision.
One of the stories is of Spitfire pilot Terence Galloway, who brings his English bride Henrietta home to Bullalalla cattle station, a fictitious station in the Northern Territory (Australia).
The other story is of the Dutch East Indies treasure ship which foundered off Western Australia in 1629 - the Batavia - with it's tale of mutiny and murder.
Judy Nunn links these two stories together with `the locket' which began it's life around the neck of a beautiful woman traveling on the Batavia, and completes it's life in the possession of Kit Galloway, one of Henrietta & Terence's sons, before being taken `home' to Holland.
This is a wonderful tale and I was hooked from the very first page. I hope every other reader enjoys it as much as I did.
