If you're a "B" film enthusiast, you'll love this campy horror film that tracks Frank Morris, a complete lunatic and serial killer. Morris has the distinction of being the only inmate who has succesfully escaped The Rock, Alcatrez Prison. He returns there decades later to retrieve information regarding a safe deposit box that was written on the walls of one of the cells. What ensues is general mayhem for a group of daytrippers looking for love and adventure. This motley bunch break into Alcatrez island late at night, after someone recognizes Morris earlier in the day on a tour of the island. Why these people decide to do this is a bit fuzzy. I would have called the cops, but as in all good horror films, hindsight is 20/20. Morris murders a total of six people on the island, most in truly grotesque fashion, before leaving the scene of carnage. There is a very interesting plot twist at the end of the film. Just as it seems Frank Morris is going to get away with all his crimes and a safe deposit box filled with cash and jewels, justice finally catches up with him. I won't spoil the ending, but it will leave you very grossed out!
