A Better Thriller,
By
This review is from: Terror Cell (Hardcover)
As a mystery affionado I steer clear of most thrillers because I want a story not simply action. Joe Badal is head and shoulders above most writers in the genre. His books are well written, well paced and they tell a story I want to read.

The New Robert Ludlum,
By Andrew Rambert (Los Angeles) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Terror Cell (Hardcover)
As with Mr. Badal's first book, Pythagorean Solution, Terror Cell provides hard hitting action, with plenty of twists and turns. The author's keen ability to weave historical facts into his fiction provides the reader with countless pages of intrigue and excitement. Against the backdrop of Athen's Greece, this book truly captures the essense of current terrorist activities prevelant in today's society. To link this "terror" threat with the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the release of this novel could not be better timed.
For those Tom Clancy,Dan Brown, and Robert Ludlum fans, this is a must read.

Intriguing and intense,
This review is from: Terror Cell (Hardcover)
I found this book to be gripping from the first chapter on. Hard to put down. While the book may have been more fun to read in 2004 when the Athens Olympics were actually taking place, this did not take away any relevance from the plot or action.
Having read Badal's previous and debut book, The Pythagorean Solution, I thought Terror Cell was of a higher caliber and Badal clearly made gains in his writing technique (though I still enjoyed TPS, as well). Perfect for a quick, fun read. Stimulating and exciting.

Terror Cell,

Another perfect thriller in what hopefully will become a never-ending series of historical fiction by Joe Badal. Incorporating realistic backdrops and set in the context of real-world events, this completely believable, fast-paced mystery will keep you on the edge of your seat and up late at night. Why we haven't seen the first book in the movies is beyond me; perhaps HBO is optioning them.

Real Life Thriller,
This review is from: Terror Cell (Hardcover)
I thought the book touched on the author's real life experiences in Greece and the Military.
Once you started reading the book it was hard to put down. I can not wait for Joe Badal's next book.
