The book I read is Gerbilits by Stephanie Spinner and Ellen Weiss. The book was okay and I would recommend it to readers like me. It is a story about a Gerbil that Ms.Wackkerow owns. She is a school teacher. She is looking for someone to take Weebie for the summer. Finally, Garth takes the gerbil for the summer. Weebie the gerible bites Garth so he thinks that is the reason he can hear Webbie talk. Garth has a cat name Joan. She is not the center of attention anymore, so now she tries everything to get Weebie. Garth takes Weebie to the pet store & buys him a new water bottle, a running wheel, some fresh smelling cedar chips, and some food. Weebie tells Garth he knows about everything that goes on in Mrs.Wakerow class room, like the kids cheating on test. On Saturday Garth and his family went camping. Garth put Weebie in his waist pack. Garth and his parents play games in the car when they get to the camping grounds. It is raining. Mr. Huter and Garth got done eating. Garth and Weebie go down to the lake. It started to get dark out, so they couldn't find their way back. They meet up with a bear that talks and the bear helped them find their way. Weebie and the bear make a plan to scare his parents because his parents are always fighting and he thought they were going to get a divorce. Things changed and got better. They didn't get divorced. Mr. Hunter and Mrs. Hunter stared to get a long better. Summer was almost over. Garth made a promise to the cat to stay away from Weebie. He would feed her anything she wanted. September got close and school started. Now what do you thank will happen to Weebie?
