This film is a typical 1930s potboiler Western of the singing cowboy variety. What makes it special, however, is the gimmick of its all-midget cast. Beyond the gimmick casting is the star of the film. Billy Curtis, who plays the hero Buck Lawson in the film, had a significant Hollywood career. 3.0 out of 5 stars Little Triggers
This all-midget musical western starts off with a bang and then, like most of these types of turkeys, gets mired down in almost the same way a serious drama can be mired. Except this vehicles' hubs are set a little lower so the misery is somewhat tougher to spin out of. In fact, it's impossible to get out of.

Beyond the gimmick casting is the star of the film. Billy Curtis, who plays the hero Buck Lawson in the film, had a significant Hollywood career. In the early 1950s he starred with George Reeves in "Superman and the Mole Men" and in the early 1970s starred as the character Mordecai in Clint Eastwood's "High Plains Drifter."

HINT: if you want the "Terror of Tiny Town," get this version and not the one entitled "Great Wacky Western Comedies." If you get the "Wacky" DVD, you'll get saddled with two awful made for TV clinkers. One of which is the Bob Denver stink bomb known as "Dusty's Trail." Get the Alpha Video version for just "Terror of Tiny Town" and you won't be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tiny town, November 3, 2008

I saw this movie when I was in college. We got in free to see this movie but had to pay to leave. When I saw that it was in dvd format I had to buy it and then during a family get together we watched it. We laughed and enjoyed the action. I had to buy several more because my younger relatives thought the movies 'plot' was quite unique. Would recommend.

Except this vehicles' hubs are set a little lower so the misery is somewhat tougher to spin out of. In fact, it's impossible to get out of.

On the other hand, the musical performances are bright, chirpy and likely to hurt your ears if you are sensitive to high pitched squeaky noises.
In short, I recommend this little entertainment. It is especially enjoyable if you doze off right after the opening titles and wake up just in time to go to bed for the night.

This is definitely one of the funniest westerns we have watched. It has romance, cattle rustling, bad guy, good guy, singing, stagecoach, etc. I could go on and on - you just have to watch it yourself.

This movie is a "hoot"... I first saw it on VHS many yrs. ago and now own the DVD... If you're in for sheer entertainment and smiles,, watch this one. The good guys wear white,, the bad guys wear black.. Just like the first and I believe only western Humphrey Bogart/Cagney made.. Bogie the villain in black,,, Cagney in white.. Another hoot of a film..

Very original. As westerns go, this is an entertaining film. As a novelty, it will never be repeated. I recommend it.

I found this film very fun to watch. I am a Wizard of OZ Collector, and I found it interesting to watch all the midgets that were the munchkins in the 1939 movie "The Wizard of OZ". All of my Grandchildren watched this movie with my wife and me, and found it to be a fun evening for the family. I have addeded this movie to my Wizard of OZ collection. It is fun to go back and see what actors played what parts in the Wizard of OZ movie. Example, the cook in the movie played the Mayor in the OZ MOVIE. Thanks Tom

This is the all-time classic for those who love watching little people at work! Ridin', ropin', lovin, in boots and tall hats will never be the same for you! Gives new meaning to the phrase, "Shoot low, they're ridin' Shetlands!!".

I've had this movie for several years. I told a friend about it and he said he had never heard of it. I actually bought the movie for him and his family.
