Not So Hot,
This review is from: Terror on Tour (Nancy Drew: Girl Detective and Hardy Boys: Undercover Brothers Super Mystery #1) (Paperback)
As a Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys fan, I have, of course, read many of their books. And as a huge supermystery fan, I was VERY excited to find this book in the bookstore. I anticipated that it would be something like the older supermysteries, and couldn't wait to read it. However, I was sorely disappointed. It was nothing at all like the "old" books. In fact, I don't care for any of these new Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books! I guess they are geared for younger readers. I would not recommend this book to anyone over 12 or 13.

This.Book.rocks!
I am a serious fan of the Nancy Drew games [made by HerInteractive], and the original books, so when I saw this, I had to buy it! This is a funny, awesome book with an 'okay' plot [i mean , it is good, but kind of annoying, too], and there were parts where you burst out laughing [of course from Joe's point of view!] And I am in love wiht this series! 2 more are out!! Whoohooo!

Well...,
This review is from: Terror on Tour (Nancy Drew: Girl Detective and Hardy Boys: Undercover Brothers Super Mystery #1) (Paperback)
So, I have been a fan of the original Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Supermystries for years now; when I saw this by chance at the bookstore, I had to have it. It took me less than seven hours to finish the book. I thought the mystery was pretty good; however, the first person perspective was very different. At first, I thought it was a good idea, now I have second thoughts about that. Another thing I disliked about the book was how Nancy was described by the Boys and the relationships that were formed. Personally, I thought the original books were much better, but these are easier to get and I will read them because they are not that bad. I recommend them to any fan of Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys.

This is a good book that is about nancy drew and her friends and the hardy boys.nanvy drew goes to a concert with her pals bess and george and ned her boy friend. while there nancy and the hardy boys meet and have to work together to solve a kidnapping! It puts a nice twist in the nancy drew series. A great read!!!
it is less old fashioned than the orginal nancy drew and hardy boys books they were great but you get buy them anymore unless you buy them off the internet.

As much as I adore these detectives, this book definitely wasn't one of my favorites. I love the new ND and HB series (Nancy Drew Girl Detective and Undercover Brothers) but this book was a tough read for me. The interactions between the two groups seemed forced so I didn't care for the dialogue. Then the actual case solving frustrated me as well. I don't think there was a single instance where Nancy or Frank/Joe didn't get caught snooping and some famous musician would come to their rescue. While this book wasn't on par with many of the others I've read, I did still enjoy it. I especially liked reading their impressions of one another ("Tall, Dark and Studly" Ned, haha. Poor Joe doesn't stand a chance).

I read the second book before I read this book and I'm glad I did or I might not have read any more of this series. Terror on tour has it's good moments but it has more bad ones. I am a really big fan (since I was seven) of Nancy Drew and Hardy boys and I really really like the TV show. I would recomend the second one to anyone who likes Nancy Drew Hardy boys. It was tons better and I'm hoping the third one will be better still.

I loved reading this book! The first person view really gave an insight to what was happening to each character, so you could really get into it.
It had a great plot, mystery, setting, and great characters. It`s great that Nancy, Frank, and Joe are all up to date so older and younger kids can really relate to them, because it happens in the 21st century. I read Nancy Drew books, but have never read a Hardy Boy book, but if they are anything like this, I am definitly going to read one.

I thought this was a great book. It was very exciting and fun, and I really like the First Person view and the way the characters are described. I think that these newer series are great and hope the authors keep writing more of them!

The location didn't change.........,
This review is from: Terror on Tour (Nancy Drew: Girl Detective and Hardy Boys: Undercover Brothers Super Mystery #1) (Paperback)
I loved the Nancy Drew/Hardy Boy Supermysteries minus The Hardy Boys...LOL. I know that sounds cruel but The Hardy Boys didn't have a good characterization. One of the main reasons I disliked this book was because the location never changed I also am pretty surprised I was not intrigued by this since usually mysteries w/ Deidre Shannon are kind of comical...
I hope people don't read this book first and decide the Original series is garbage, because thats not true. In the older series Nancy was less independent, more witty, less romantic, and stayed away from social drama. I would recommend the Nancy Drew Files to anyone 11 or over and The Nancy Drew on campus series to anyone 13 and over. Both are great but keeps Nancy changing in her own maturity. I would have loved to have known the suspects like in The Nancy Drew Files and The Hardy Boys Casefiles it would have helped to narrow down suspects and watch for 'wordy' clues more often. If you are a Hardy boy fan don't count on this to feed your mystery side of the brain they are left in the shadows compared to Nancy even though her character budded w/ excitement. The next book in this new series(Danger Overseas (Nancy Drew: Girl Detective and Hardy Boys: Undercover Brothers Super Mystery #2)) is jam packed with action and in my opinion favors the Hardy boys maybe their will be a stronger character presence in all of the novels. That would be exciting! I hope you all try the Nancy Drew graphic novels and don't stray far from the mystery brewing inside!!!

Annoying!,

Okay, the story and plot were very good and intriguing in this story. I have never read a Hardy Boys book before and, if it's anything like this, I won't ever read one! As a girl I think it's very annoying for the Hardy Boys to be so arrogant and to take all of the credit! Nancy found ALL of the clues and they didn't even say thank you! And they just left! I was very dissapointed and I probably will not buy another Super Mystery.
