I was disappointed in this book. There were some strong and interesting characters, good descriptions of places and events, and old fashioned action and adventure. The opening chapter was excellent. But the book deteriorated into triteness. The main female character is presented as strong and rebellious - until something unexpected happens when she immediately ignores all her instincts and simply follows someone she knows but does not even respect. The hero is one sided and the dialogue is out of a B movie. In fact, that is what it reminded me of. And the page after page description of how hard a time the hero was having moving about the ship was just boring. The second half of the book did not live up to the first half. Too bad.

For those of you who grew up on classic, old school sci-fi, this book is for you! Great sci-fi is tough to find these days. So much of sci-fi is dominated by fantasy creatures, witches, elves, etc. Terrorcruise delivers science fiction action, great characters and an edge-of-your-seat page-turning read.
I agree with some of the online promo about the book that states, "This book is Star Trek meets Die Hard." If you like science fiction that pops with great, fast-paced action, this is the book. I'm excited about this new author.

If you enjoy the fast action, science fiction drama, then this book is for you. It brings back the classic sci-fi weaved together with modern technology. The action is page turning and excitment to find out what happens. This is a great read!! I highly recommend it. I am looking forward to more from this author.

Charles has a terrific imagination and keeps the reader on the edge of his seat. This book has all of the features required of good science fiction: characters, both good and evil: space flight and scientific advances: unusual planets, beings, and creatures: military politics: and continuous action.
